11 Shipsters is a 2 storey block - so has neighbours above or below as well as next door. It is easily seen from the road even when driving past.
Cars can't drive in close to the doors of the flats.
Shipsters is a very busy road, being a direct link between two major roads (Kensington Rd and Norwood Parade) with 2 schools and a pub on it, and a shopping centre very close by so it is busy both
day and night.
Unless the person who posted this comes up with anything to support it, I think it is unlikely. Not impossible, but unlikely.

Yeah, the more I examine this address the more I think that it's probably not the block of flats. Also I'm not sure how long Trevor Peters lived in Shipsters Road but if he lived there in the early 1980's surely he would remember that the flats that Denis St Denis showed him were in the same street as his house instead of writing in his diary that it was "somewhere around Norwood, Kent Town or Dulwich".

I also believe this is unlikely based on the diaries where TP claimed that Prue Firman once pointed out the unit when they drove past but could only recall that it was in Hackney/Kent Town/Norwood area. If the unit were in Shipsters Rd then TP wouldn't have a problem recalling exactly where it was. And I don't think TP was holding anything back either - it looked like he was milking Firman and Pussy St Pussy for info and was putting everything he knew into those diaries.

The detail about DStD cutting Richard’s hair was in Trevor Peters’ diary. It is detailed in this article:

Sorry to bring this back up but I've been thinking on something. Do you know if Lewis Turtur or Pru Firman could have been in court or in other circumstances heard the details of Richard's autopsy report?

Turtur was definitely in court as a witness at some point. He is mentioned by name in this decision. (As is Mr R, which makes a total joke of the suppression orders.)

Whether Turtur was allowed to hear other evidence isn’t known. But even if he wasn’t there, surely one or more people from their circle of acquaintances could easily have gone along in order to report back to the others. I don’t think it was a closed hearing.

What are you thinking?

I'm wondering if the autopsy reports on the length of Richard's hair and if there was any discussion about it in court? The veracity of Pru Firman's remarks to Peters might be checked against it. From the pictures, his hair looks short and in five or six weeks there should be quite noticeable if not measurable growth.

There are so many documents that I wish were available - the Peters’ diary, some of the court decisions and sentencing remarks, witness statements, court transcripts etc.

I am happy not to see actual autopsy reports in the public record. Out of respect for the families involved I hope these never see the light of day. If these were my kids it would destroy me that such intimate info was available. The general info that has been released is enough.

I’d love a few hours with Debi Marshall’s source documents that her researcher dug out of the court records, and that box of stuff from the old journalist chap. Her book better be full of new info or it will be a huge disappointment.

The most commonly known photo of Richard was taken four weeks before he was abducted at a cricket game and was the most recent photo the family had to give the police when they started their search. So I'd say given the length in the photo it's more likely than not he didn't had a haircut between then and 5/6/1983.

Shop looks like the Australian cricket team, you can get in but you can't get out

Check out the review of the clock shop off Yelp, owned by a guy who was named in:

http://www8.austlii.edu.au/cgi-bin/viewdoc/au/cases/sa/SASC/1991/2741.html?query=von Einem

This shop has no name on the front of the premises, no website, just a little square blackboard on the window announcing opening hours. Talk about remaining annonymous and the windows are bar reinforced from the inside in case of breakages, what not even a Volvo can penetrate.

Judging by the contents it has some very expensive clocks, antiques and collectables which the average every day punter would not be able to afford. But having said that there are some reasonably priced items for that 1904 villa being renovated and the decor furnished to suit. This is also a great resource for film makers wanting to make their period setting look authentic!

Clocks are everywhere in here placed on dressers, walls and any perch found, definitely not big bag territory.

If you're into antique clocks or looking to find that elusive coocoo clock or looking for a quirky orignial gift for that special person in your life, then go no further than this shop.
The owner of that shop, lives very close by.

Boy: I went in at 9am to look at a cuckoo clock and came out with a sore bum the exact same time I went in, but it was the next day
Mum: you and your brothers!

I wonder how Gino Gambardella is going in Italy?

Wonder if he has slipped back into the country at all?
Maybe the band is back together doing their own style of lockdown with little boys in cages, Gino runs around picking them up again - "Let the boy watch"

Some old film photo pictures and david szach interview snippets to be seen..

I thought he was somewhere in South America?
From the above tv show. Thats not to say Gambardella is still in Italy but its a reasonable belief

Other people had been present at Mr Stevenson's house during the window of time in which the murder may have occurred including a man named Gino Gambardella who was charged with being an accessory to murder, but the charge was dropped and Mr Gambardella moved to Italy. The other leads came to nothing.

I'm only going from the AdelaideNow report on 1 Dec, 2019 - it's only one of Ruperts publications so I guess there's reason to doubt the accuracy!

"The man who fled Australia with his two children three decades ago says he is also prepared to help police investigate a notorious torture-sex ring. He revealed his extraordinary life on the run after News Corp tracked the now 73-year-old to South America."

Off the topic a bit.....Have l read somewhere on this thread the mention of a Don Storen? Too many pages to read back. If there has been a mention, what was the context please?
