AKA The Premo Sideways Trade FAIL Thread.

This thread is somewhat similar to the Vent thread, but with a difference. Herein you post the premo you sideways traded to another premo because based on 1 game (and 44 trades available) the player you've had all pre-season all of a sudden has "proven he can't handle a tag", "will be inconsistent this year", "will lose value after the first price change", "player X has an easy opponent, where as my premo will be tagged by Z", "etc" as a reason/justification for making knee jerking, lost points chasing, price rise chasing and or fixture chasing sideways premo trades based on their last game and or upcoming game(s).

When it goes pear shaped (I have a feeling it will happen quite a lot this year) and the premo you just sideways traded to another premo scores 120+ and the premo you traded in scores less than 80 come in here and tell us about your fail. :thumbsu:

I'm not personally doing any premo swapping just yet, but I'll more than likely to be visting this thread in the next few weeks when I do.

Feel free to announce your premo sideways trade in here prior to and or post FMDTL after your premo sideways trade has FAILED. :)

I hope that this is the only time that I have to show my face in this thread.

I started with Deledio(78), Goddard(71), Zorko(52). I will be holding all three, it only ends in tears when you don't back them in. Form is temporary while class is permanent. Premium players don't become duds overnight.

In 2010 I started with Brent Harvey and in round 2 he scored a whopping 18 points but I held my nerve and kept the faith. In round 3 he ran riot against the Eagles and scored 163 points and finished the season with a 94.5 average in dream team. Sometimes you have to back your initial judgement and hold firm.

I can see scores of coaches this week trading out the likes of Zorko, Greene, Dangerfield, etc... and it will end in pain. You have been warned.

Who'd trade out Zorko? He'll come good (he says, optimistically).

I think with 44 trades sideways trading is permissible if it's clear a new role that we were unaware of pre-lockout Rd. 1 has shown its face. Hence my decision to move Scott Selwood along - you know he's going to be tagging Mitchell and scoring poorly again...probably.

Scooter tagged Mitchell in Round 23 last year and had 35 touches, 5 marks, 4 tackles and scored 117 DT points.

Don't give me facts that complicate things and make my head hurt even more!

Now I fear I'm jumping the gun after one bad score. Selwood was a lateish decision from me and I guess I'm kicking myself for it after his poor score in Rd. 1.

Also, to sideways trade this topic, as a WCE fan, how likely is it that Embley will get the green vest again this weekend?

Haha, I'm pretty stressed myself.

Woosha said today that they're weighing up whether to bring Kerr back as a sub on Sunday or give him a week in the WAFL before returning to the side. So if he is named, you can guarantee Embers won't be handed the vest. After losing LeCras and Mackenzie, I believe he will move into the 21 anyway, now that he's got a bit more fitness about him. We could also really use his bigger body in the middle this week. So yeah, I doubt he will be sub again. But don't hold me to this!

I am trading out Maric for Krooze because of the whole 44 trades, need to make money, etc etc thing. I also believe that Krooze will average only 2-4ppg less than Maric this season, and plan to bring Maric back in for Kreuzer later on in the season.
But mark my words, I WILL REGRET THIS DECISION COME THIS TIME NEXT WEEK

Haha I held on to boomer as well. Good times when a lot of people traded him out. :D

No sideways premo trades for me this week. A bit too early imo.

One thing I don't understand is the, "Danger's BE is 213, TRADE HIM OUT!!!!!!!!" thing. If you're worried about that, keep him in for one more round, then jump off before the price drop and jump on a premium certain to have a price increase. Then if Danger is scoring better after his horrible round 1 performance, jump back and you will have made yourself a decent chunk of cash.

Two trades per week changes things. Unless there's a role change and you can't see them scoring at premium levels anymore, I personally think sideways trading after round 1 is silly this year.

Stop trading in Kreuzer you bastards, you're gonna ruin it for people who picked him from the start

Right now Mick Malthouse is almost certainly looking through this thread and deciding he's going to play Warnock instead of Rowe just to ruin your trade.

I almost made a plea in the Round 2 Trades thread earlier about this. He is definitely going to pump out a 50 odd point score this week.

Understand that logic, but I have Danger, Goddard and Bolton in various stages of spudding things up. If I hold off until next week, I'm potentially risking having three premiums dropping by considerable amounts - and I can only trade out two.

I've taken the risk and swapped Bolton for Wright (who I had in until the last minute - damn you stupid last minute changes) this week and swapped Cox into the rucks. I'll watch Danger and Goddard next week and see what happens. I've now got the money to upgrade Danger to Pendles if needed (or another premium about to rise in value) next week if needed. If they both perform well, I'll look at swapping out a rookie on the bubble next week (like Whitfield for a Kommer/Jones if they are going to make more cash) - if they dont then Goddard and Danger may be swapped out and then back in later in the year.

If this was last year, I'd definately be holding onto my trades though.... And praying a lot....;)

Just before lockout it was Ebert vs Greene vs Barlow vs Griffin for M5, as you can tell i am pretty pissed at myself with picking Greene out of that lot....FML!

I'm not, reckon Greene will absolutely smash all of those guys in the final rankings this year. :)

Hmmmmm, I'm not keeping him to find out though. I hope for your sake he does ok this week....but Kornes worries me.

Yeh he's a bit of a worry, will trade Greene out if he scores under 100. Reckon Greene will run with Boak this week though...

Can any west coast supporters shed any light on Scooter, whether he will be tagging future games or playing as an inside midfielder? Deciding whether to keep him in or not!
