Anyone watching the new season of TUF? Even though Joanna Champion is on there I don't think I can bring myself to watch the show any more.

The UFC have uploaded all the elimination fights on their youtube channel if anyone wants to check them out there.

Only fight I've watched was the Rountree fight because I heard that the finish was amazing. It sure was. Brutal soccer kicks to the body to end that fight. Wow. Rountree's been pumped up by some people who keep a close eye on up and comers.

Here's the Rountree fight:

I always watch the fist couple , the first ep was pretty much the same some good 115 women and 205 div is doomed once jones retires moves up ect.

Do you really think Jones will go after the HW belt? I just dont see it happening...

You're right. LHW is barren. There's Jones and the other top 3/4 guys, then it's a huge drop off. Shogun and Little Nog are ranked because there's nobody coming up the ranks. HW is bringing in a lot more talent right now than LHW, which says something. Patrick Wyman and some other guys who focus on prospects have noted that there is nobody at LHW.

If he fights the way he did today all those mentioned above will beat him. Very underwhelming in my opinion
He'd still most likley beat them all. He was a bit rusty, but he still fought very much like he has in his more recent fights. Why would Cormier beat this Jones? This made Rumble's chances of winning look more likely because he's like OSP, but a much better striker. The brief moments of success OSP had would give Rumble hope.

I think because nobody gave OSP a chance everybody is acting like Jones didn't smash him. And because of that weird belief everybody acts like Jones wouldn't have still very likely beat any other LHW in the world yesterday.

i like honest jones, the one that calls DC a pussy flips the bird his post fight interview was great, yeah he was rusty but still has it im glad he got that one out of the way. rumble prob has a puchers chance of putting his lights out but we dont know what his chin is like cause no one has really tested it. if he survives the first round Rumble wont last 25 mins. If they put glover and rumble together he may never get a shot a jones

Can't help but feel sorry for these guys. But some fighters seem to like the Reebok deal so maybe there's more to it than just these slim pickings we're shown.

It's a real stiff deal. Lot of these guys would earn more in WSOF or Bellator from sponsors. I wonder if the UFC base pay is better?
It affects people on both ends of the spectrum as well. Think about how much more Jon Jones could be getting with his own sponsorship, sure as hell a lot more than $30k. Then on the lower end of the spectrum, most fighters surely could scrape together more than $2,500 in sponsorships. The Reebok deal directly prevented them from being human billboards with their fight shorts, and also probably indirectly as surely there's some sort of agreement as to what clothing they can wear at media obligations and public appearances for the UFC and such.

All I'm saying is on that night if that was any of DC, Rumble or Gus I think there would of been a different result.
But we all know that he was rusty and he probably was just doing it for a tune up and what better way than having a 5 round scrap

Fair enough. I think he'd still very likely have beat all three of them if he was fighting them yesterday.

Just shows the level he has gotten himself to. He set such a standard that was much above anyone else that when he puts in one like that he comes back to their level with a shit load improvement left in him coming off that

Just got around to watching Koreshkov/Henderson. Brilliant fight by Koreshkov. He used all the advantages he had and didn't allow Henderson to do anything he's good at. Many things played a part in Koreshkov winning. His size certainly helped. His technical striking ability did too. He was smart and vicious at the same time. I hadn't seen him fight many times before, but I'll make sure I do from here on.

So many great fighters fought in the last couple of days. Golovkin and Gonzalez in boxing. Jones and Johnson in MMA. I don't follow kickboxing enough to know just how good Takeru is, but he's one of the most entertaining fighters in any combat sport and he fought in K-1 on the weekend.

There's an Irish fighter from SBG who really is retiring. Paddy Holohan has been forced to retire because of a rare blood disorder. Sucks for him. I enjoyed watching him fight.

Saw that last night. He has been hiding his condition from the doctors because he knew that if his medical condition was discovered then he wouldn't be sanctioned to fight. You have to love what you do or have no idea what else to do for you to risk your health like that. He seemed like a good guy, I hope that he can stay involved with the sport, he's still young.

I didn't realise how dangerous it was when I first heard that he was retiring. Now I see that this could have been really bad. In MMA fighters get cut fairly often and something that hinders blood clotting could lead to horrible situations.

He definitely seems like a good guy. SBG appear to be a really tight group, so I'd expect Kavanagh to keep him around in some capacity.

I read the biggest worry was the potential for bleeding on the brain. I guess even if there is a slight chance for servre consequences that can come for it, he definatly shouldn't be fighting.

I think kavanagh said on the MMA hour paddy and Kav are opening another gym together, or something along those lines.

at least he got to headline a card in his own country, I'm sure that will be a huge highlight of his career, even tho he lost.
