It's nice to see conservatives pretend to give a **** about the indigenous for once *

* Even though it's only so they can shit on an outspoken one

Reminds me of that time they fought for the unions after craig thompsen banged some escorts *

* Even though it was only so they could shit on Gillard

It's telling how people are going after Lidia for being rude when there are legit issues in the Victorian Greens branch that currently deserve way more scrutiny than what the Costello papers are going after

Like Linda Gale for example, you know the person the Costello papers platformed because she's a transphobe power broker in the party

or stuff like this where they are campaigning on public housing at the upcoming election in Vic but spent the last few years blocking it

Would the intent with blocking votes from short term members be a function of stopping branch stacking?

probably to stop new members having a say over how the party is run
in the case of the Vic Greens there has been some very public issues with TERFs in the party and I imagine they don't want to be pushed out by people signing up to get rid of them

of course that can go the other way to with people signing up to vote someone into a position of power that shouldn't be there

I suppose if a member is committed enough to put time into the organisation it helps reduce the chance they are there for manipulation of a specific preselection

'A spokeswoman for the federal Greens confirmed the meeting between Senator Thorpe and Mr Mundine took place, and did not deny they discussed their mutual opposition to the Albanese government’s referendum.'

'Senator Thorpe has repeatedly attacked the voice referendum despite saying she does not oppose it in theory.

The Victorian Greens senator has called a referendum a waste of money and claimed that a campaign could be harmful to Aboriginal Australians.'
