few days late, but is anyone else not surprised that will pucovski is retiring?
Didn’t hear this news 😯
When I first started reading this I thought you were going to say…
“Few days late but is anyone else not surprised that England changed a crappy old ball that was doing nothing and got a new hard one that still had gold writing on the side and it started to swing and make it very hard for the Sri Lankans?”

Seriously with all the cricket they play over there surely you can get a like for like match 🤷🏻‍♀️

Was saying the same to some mates in a cricket chat. Just got to admire it regardless of whether it's us that he's making look like backyard cricketers
I don't think there's a bowler I'd like to face less in the world. Up there with Steyn in his prime for me if not for all his injuries

I'm old enough to recall Marshall, Garner and a little later Ambrose, Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram all in their prime (though a little too young to recall prime Holding and Lillee).

This guy is right up there. And I agree on Steyn, the guy was brilliant.

Steyn, Ramada, Cummins and Bumrah are probably the four best fast bowlers I've seen.

Now it's game on. Mitch and Carey are probably the two best bats on form right now.

This game highlights just how poor test cricket batting has become. Has been in decline since 20/20 became an easy way for a lot of cricketers to make $500k plus a year.

The best non Australian attack I can recall was that late 90's, early 2000's Pakistan attack.

Wasim Akram, Shoaib Ahktar, Abdur Razzaq, Saqlain Musas, Azar Mahmood was just relentless

Cricket Australia will lay asphalt for the remaining tests.

I started to get into cricket when Botham, Dev, Hadlee and Imran were starting to decline. It would've been something to see 4 such players peaking at the same time, especially if there were the same TV coverage as today
Wasim Akram, Curtley Ambrose, Marshall, & Lillee would be the best I’ve seen.

Malcolm Marshall took 376 wickets at 20.96. Clive Lloyd and Jeffrey Dujon considered him the best so that’s good enough for me. Saw him a lot but That West Indies side were mind blowing, there was no let up and my favorite bowler was always changing. Open with Marshall and Holding then Garner (who AB thought was the best) would come on with Walsh.

Alan Donald was a tad better than Steyn

DK Lillee was the greatest Australian I have seen (only saw the tail end). Like Warney, could just make it happen, speed, move it both ways…champion

If I may ask, you're a little bit older than most probably are? (im 36 by the way)

was there any obscure guys, the ones who were around for 2 - 5 years who could have dominated had there bodies held up?

Ryan Harris is the first one to come to mind.. bloke could genuinely do it all. Body held together like duct tape at the end
