Sporno 4 Pyros that site has some awesome other live stuff I know you'll dig.
You sent me down a Wikipedia wormhole.
It is such a different style to the classics “the Mighty Quinn” and “pretty flamingo” but it turns out the original Manfred Mann wrapped up in the late 60s and turned into this band which I never knew…will suss out The Midnight Special stuff 👍

jmoo wan are you getting excited about the Oasis reunion??
yeah, it will be huge - they will make a fortune!

i can’t see them doing a world tour though - a couple of massive shows in England and a netflix special PPV

it’s happening!!!!

need to get to Cardiff i guess next year!
Just read this on Wikipedia 🤣🤣🤣

In 1999, Gallagher bought a home in Ibiza from Mike Oldfield for £2.5 million, but in 2008 Gallagher sold it, reportedly because James Blunt was a neighbour and he could not "stand living there in the knowledge that Blunt is nearby making terrible music".

His Goldtop sounds so loud here

Agalloch were incredible tonight. It's a band I didn't think I'd ever get to see live, so it's nice to tick another dream band off the list.
I couldn't make it to Melbourne and am really bummed about them not coming to Adelaide. I have little doubt it would've been a great show, I'm very jealous of anyone who went.

Never been a friendly voice for me.

Always screechy and scratchy.
It's certainly a different voice however he used to deliver with a harsh edge which probably gives the "screechy or scratchy" sound you mention. The new album has him sounding more like he's singing a lullaby, it's almost devoid of emotion which is a shame as musically they're as good as they've been for almost 30 years.

I wasn't too sure how it would be, since bands touring after a long time off can be bad, and also black metal can sound kind of shitty live if the sound isn't good. But thankfully it was good all across the board, and great vibes in the room too with the sold out crowd, great 2 hour set too.

Kind of sucks they only did the two dates on the tour, but thankful one of them was here!

No I did not Sporno 4 Pyros. I actually only watched a bit of the game as I don't care for either team. Not sure I've ever seen one of those before. Thought at first it looks a lot similar to Robin Zander's from Cheap Trick but I just googled it and it's not really. That extra length of string between the bridge and the stop tail would sure help the jangle given it's a solid body.

Mine is going great as far as I know. It lives in its case under the spare bed lol. I should probably sell it as the neck is a little bit too narrow for me unfortunately but it is absolutely spotless and beautiful to look at. I just doubt I'd get what I want for it at the moment so under the bed she stays. If I had my time again I would probably get a Danelectro 12.. may still do if one comes up at the right price. :eyes:

Did you get around to changing your strings?

Have you watched the Colin Hay doco on Netflix?? Nice little show to watch.

I think you will enjoy this podcast. It makes me want to look up the Wrecking Crew doco he mentions. Also didn’t know about the baritone guitar, always thought he was using some sort of early model jag in the videos I have seen.

Doesn’t Rick Beto do an interview with Jimmy Webb? Crazy that he could write such great lyrics at 19-20yo

*not sure why the link isn’t working…will figure it out later
