The worst thing about Trump winning is that we have to listen to BrunoV pontificate about how Trump isn't all the things he very obviously is, or as though it somehow validates all his weird conspiracy theories.
You don’t have to listen to anything Bruno says. You can mute him if he bothers you.

Anyone supporting Trump on the basis of the Democrats being warmongering, corrupt, adopters of leftist ideals (despite being wholly on the right side of politics as well), do not lessen the stupidity of their allegiance. Sure, the Democrats are all of those things but it is a stain on humanity that an abhorrent, lying, sleazy, discriminator like Trump can be popularly voted in as the leader of the ‘free’ world. Wow, what a cluster****.

Not including retrospective law/, he is stuck here lol
i’m joking, obviously - I know bruno is a boomer.

in fact, if they were serious about minimising social media’s negative impacts on society, they’d ban it for the over 60s - that’s where the real issues are

I think Bernie nailed it. I’d add that the democrats should’ve held some form of primary to run a candidate with even a modicum of charisma.

See, this is the view of the true left of the political spectrum. The real problem in the US is that the left narrative has been adopted by a right wing driven agenda of the Democrats. But there is no leftist substance to the Democrats’ narrative. It’s all just meaningless words used to try and woo the marginalised and underprivileged of society but people can see through that nonsense now. In order to implement real change they should’ve gone with Bernie when they had the chance but instead they followed the far right and the brittle economic foundations of Trumpism.

The divide isn't left v right it's populist vs statist/corporatist.

But the narrative created to control the masses is left vs right. And it’s a tiresome false narrative that has been getting more and more traction in the media with its use from the far ‘right’ who manage to somehow pretend that they are up against ‘far left looneys’ in a two-party political hegemony of mainstream parties that are really just puppets of the military industrial complex and transnational power structures in what has always been a traditionally right wing world view.

It would be disappointing to see you forced off BigFooty though , JMoo.

I'll admit I'm not really across the real details of US politics.

But surely in the following days after the results, hearing celebrities say how upset and distraught they are on social media, having talk show hosts lecture people on how horrible this is as a result and how broken the country is and the constant talk of continuing the fight, and the battle and we will win the war type comments is the issue here.

Saying you have a deeply racist country or a country that is against women and having that as your message is missing the point of why a result like this happened.
People are struggling, they cannot feed their families, they can't get jobs. They seemingly voted for the guy that campaigned on those points.

Throwing a tantrum and calling these people racists or sexists or trash because the result didn't go your way while you sit on your pile of cash is the most tone deaf way of swaying people to your side, it is certainly a decision.

Maybe a lesson would be not lecturing or condescending to these people and trying to listen to them and reach them?
This lesson is apparent across time and across societies, yet for some reason these people don't get it.
If your rich and successful, assuming that your priorities are other peoples priorities is the height of stupidity
