I don't doubt that you have as many members as the figures claim, but the fact is that Hawthorn can't pull a crowd, proving that you're not a big club.
Oh, and a Manchester United fan claiming that others are bandwagoners...

hawks have more genuine members than the top four reason is cause we have more genuine supporters who are into the game.

I'm one of the many Hawthorn members who pays up membership each year, even though I can't get to many games due to my work commitments. I get to about 4 - 6 games a year.
That's actually a good thing though yes?
Some other clubs might have better membership numbers if more supporters did that I would have thought.

Collingwood = 70,000 members
Hawthorn = 57,000
Total = 127,000
Richmond = 48,000
Carlton = 42,000
Total = 90,000
So two teams with a total membership equalling 37,000 less than two other teams, still attracts a crowd that is only 179 less, 37,000 thats a lot of cats, dogs and tassie members

Two things. Firstly, United did not win the Champions League in 2000, a non-bandwagon supporter would definitely know that. Also, they have dominated since well before 2000 so that programme proves nothing.
Seems to me little markman jumped on the Hawks bandwagon in the 80's and the United one in the 90's.

plus I have been barracking for the hawks since 76 and its a matter of record here on bigfooty.
