The Killers : Hot Fuss

My mate kindly burnt me a copy of the albulm without me knowing, and left it my place for me after a BBQ.

I listened to it for the first time yesterday, and this albulm is "top notch". I have been on my comp about 20 hours since I listened to it, it has been playing for abut 15 of those hours, dead serious, listened to it over and over about 10 times.

We all now there major song *Somebody Told Me, and new release *Mr. Brightside, which happens to be my favourite.

I recommend this albulm to anybody. Each song isn't all the same, yet it falls in the same genr'e so that is even better.

its an alright album but not great as it loses you through the singers mono-tonal voice

only joking mate, haven't heard the album, was scared that the Killers are a two hit wonder. Is the album influenced a bit by New Wave?

Tends to get monotonous and flat, IMO.

Somebody Told Me is a very good song, but after that I don't particularly warm to any others. I can't see why Mr Brightside is so worshipped by many fans (whether they be those that only listen to Top 40, or other fans who got into The Killers through means other than the charts), it just doesn't do anything for me at all. The dude's voice doesn't go anywhere throughout the whole album, and because of this, I'd expect them to liven it up with some catchy music throughout the album. Apart from Somebody Told Me, there's really nothing on it that'd make me wanna rant and rave about this band.

I also had the album late last year and gave it a few tries, but it's since been collecting a thick layer of dust somewhere in room.

Last year was failry ordinary as far as new releases goes.

Lonie, no offence, but I think everyone's heard that song. I'd even assume it's the most popular downloadable ringtone with the teenage girl demographic at high-schools?

They're good, but grossly over-rated, for mine.
