Just saw Titanic has made it's way down to $650 odd. On backorder for now but that's pretty tempting. Can't imagine it'll ever go much lower?
I'll buy it build and display it on my bed and sleep on the floor

Honestly, sameI’m glad you were wrong, I couldn’t have ignored it nor afforded it.
But I did the same recently, phone keeps taking me to US site.
Are other people still planning on building and keeping Shackleton's Lifeboat?
This is the first time I've had one of these seriously limited GWPs that I've bought at launch time, so I've never had this situation where the value of a lego piece had become so stupidly inflated before it even got to my house.
Is opening it and building it kind of dumb? I mean, I bought it to open, I want to open it... but it's already selling with prices between $120-140, and it's only going to go up.
no my second order received today. My Endurance has made its way from Melbourne to Sydney on its way here (all AP parcels from Melbourne get sent via Sydney. How good's that for the environment ). Anyone in Melb gotten theirs yet??
I won’t be building it.Are other people still planning on building and keeping Shackleton's Lifeboat?

Open it, build it, resell it for half its value when you get bored of it.
As CP alluded to, it's the price of joy that you should look at. There are buyers of opened and used sets out there on Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree etc. As a comparison, I just sold the Retro Record Player for $70 and I probably got about 20 offers after listing it less than two days ago. I could deal with opening, assembling and displaying it, then selling for $30 a couple years later and pricing my enjoyment at $40.
The only one I've built on that list is the Astronaut. It's very clever how they've done it and it's interesting to put together but it's quite niche. At $44 though it's half price and a good deal.I have a limited time Target voucher that I need to use by tomorrow. I'm struggling to find a home for it.
Has anyone built anything off this list that you recommend? It has to be 70 bucks or more. And the smaller the better, every Lego purchase these days also has to be made with consideration of where tf it's going to go.

Any reason why you can't consider other Target sets? They seem to still have their 20% off sale going. For $76 you can have the Earth and Moon which is an interesting set but again a bit niche, the Technic Kawasaki, Harry Potter Mandrake or the Star Wars Tantive IV. For $71 there's the Technic Koenigsegg, various Botanicals (all good), Senna, or for $68 there's the 3-in-1 T Rex.
