It's to go with the pandas and I pretty much got them and it for free with my points.
We have a new pair of giant pandas in Adelaide Zoo.

Actually, that's kinda cool. I was considering it among the botanicals, not as an accompaniment to the panda. They'll look great together.

And when you factor in how regularly and cheaply Speed Champions go on sale, it wouldn't make a lot of sense to buy the box at full price. That's probably how I'll ultimately end up with most, if not all of them - I'll buy Red Bull and Ferrari Speed champs on day 1, and wait for others to go on special.

I doubt I'll be buying either technic set on day 1 without any sales/insider bonuses/GWPs, 350 is frightening. And I still haven't built last years technic Merc.
I think that's a good strategy. Both of the current F1 Technics have been available for less than $200, a 33% discount. The price rise to $350 is steep.

Started building the Endurance last night, there is no 3d instructions on the app which I find strange and annoying
That's unusual these days. I still can't get into building from the app, even with 3D. Very much a paper guy.

I think I'd have bought more of the Mario sets if they'd had paper instructions. They do now, but that only changed last year.

That's a brilliant haul, I didn't think of the bamboo to go with the pandas, but I think I'll do the same. I do like the smaller Botanicals, the Plum Blossom for me was a standout.
I will get the new smaller orchids too. Disappointed there wasn't a new postcard.

I prefer it now as you can see it from different angles, but ever since I have got glasses, paper has been easier for me to read

And we are done!!! That was fun, some hot days helped, although it’s not easy to do Lego under the air conditioner, missed a few steps when the pages blew without me noticing…

Also got to go back and find out why I’ve got a sticker left over!

But awesome build, really enjoyed it and although some small parts repeated in different areas, it didn’t have the repetitive nature of other sets. As Neese also mentioned, great mini figure selection.

Takes up the entire table when opened, not sure where I’m going to store it. Also would be a good set for a light set, but as discussed previously they’re probably not worth the effort.

That’ll probably be me done for a bit, start the summer job on Tuesday for 2 weeks, might get the TIE interceptor done if I don’t get anymore work during my last week of leave.

Batcave for scale, which unfortunately is not easy to move or open without falling apart…😬😬😬😬

Why are you selling it? I don't think I'm ever likely to move Lego that I'm invested in enough to build.

Jesus I'm out of practice after my recent weeks-long back flare up. Was building another speed champs car today. Screwed up on literally step 3, didn't realise til I'd finished the whole first bag, and had a couple of pieces that aren't usual spares, and I had 2 spares after only using 2 in the build to that point.

I'll never profess to be a great Lego builder - my mates 8 year old puts me to shame from a speed perspective, and I have a friend that does some really creative MOCs - but goddamn, I thought I was better than that!

Not selling anything! Was comparing the size of the sets. I’d never sell them, maybe an unopened one if things got really desperate, but never understand those selling used sets, built once and packed away, why?

I’ve found a few times looking at the picture of an instruction and thinking that doesn’t look like mine, then go back a few steps to see where it went wrong. Or like you, end up with parts that shouldn’t be left over!!!

But definitely not quick here either and if I do rush that’s when mistakes always happen.

God I was stoned last night...

I read "Batcave for scale" as "batman for sale."

Just finished Artemis, my Christmas build. Impressive finished product that looks very realistic, but it's not one I can recommend, especially when the inevitable comparison to Saturn V is made.

Biggest issue is perhaps the stickers. Not many of them but they are mostly tiny and very difficult to apply (think accurately placing 1x1 stickers on large curved pieces...). Weirdly some of the cylinders of the boosters are printed, and some are stickers. Makes the finished product look hand-made. For $450 the rest of the stickers should have been printed.

Saturn V was a lot less than half the price and had no stickers.

The first 22 of the 27 bags build the launch platform and tower. The platform is varied enough to maintain interest, but the tower is not. Entirely to be expected, but you'll be bored by the end of it. The biggest issue with the tower aesthetically is that the support struts don't align with the floor they're supposedly supporting, there is a gap between them and the floor above, doubtless because bars of the right length don't exist. If you were a purist you might make or cut some to size.

The boosters are well done, or at least they would be if not for the aforementioned stickers. The rocket itself is well built but basic, nothing we haven't seen before. Not a great deal of detail.

The whole thing feels a bit rickety but is sturdy enough. The rocket is very swooshable.

One for the fans, I think (of which I am one). 3/5.
