Opinion The man that is Trump

As I said, generalisations are a waste of time. You say it's a growing trend, I would need to see evidence of that to believe you.
i would have thought a moron like Trump being voted in as president would have been enough evidence but if you want me to give you links to videos when I have time I will.
Don't tell me it has nothing to do with Trump getting in either, getting your points across and successfully providing facts and disproving the other sides points has an impact on voters, it's why they have debates and puppets campaigning year round for them

You bring up a good point and I am really interested in asking for examples of why you consider how the ABC frame or filter their views.

Here's an example brought to attention by the ABC's own Media Watch last Monday night showing the ABC, Fairfax and The Guardian all ignoring the story.
That's news filtering at it's finest. Domestic violence is usually prominently featured and railed against on the ABC, Fairfax and The Guardian and rightly so but somehow this wasn't worth coverage.
I have my view as to why, but I accept it won't be the same conclusion that others reach.

Told you I watch ABC all the time and saw that. Which is a good example of ABC whacking itself. No other organisation does that and not the first time either.
I was rather hoping you would give me more than that.

So because they ended up 'whacking themselves' (this time ......... after the story had been and gone), then it was ok for it to ignore/filter that story out of every program?
It doesn't display framing/filtering by an organisation?
It's exactly what they did, independently of who exposed them? Media Watch exposing them doesn't give them a pass or absolve them, it doesn't change the fact that it was a clear decision they made not to cover it.
As I said earlier, all media outlets do this. The ABC is just another one of them along with Fairfax, Murdoch, The Guardian, Fox, CNN until you've named them all.

It already is in plain clear English.
Surely you realise that I didn't understand it, which is why I asked. Can you elaborate as the last post was about the ABC.
What is the relevance of blow jobs?

Edit: thanks to Greening Magic for explanation.
I am sure you found it amusing.

I am not disagreeing with you.

I am just asking for further examples as this is often the mantra of Bolt and The Australian.

Not my friend, try again.
So nothing useful to add to the thread, not surprised.

Maggie, it happens every day, in every news 'show', in every media outlet.
An interesting exercise is to look at twitter feed of presenters who just can't help display their 'allegiances' on twitter.
I'm not on twitter but you can look them all up. It's amazing how they treat their twitter like only their friends/fans are reading it.
If you think someone was a little harsh about someone or some event, check their twitter, it'll explain a lot.
How any person in the media (includes editors/directors/programmers) can describe themselves as unbiased is delusional.
(Unless Ray Martin says it's so :D).

Clearly the Murdoch media frame things from their perspective, just as the ABC, Fairfax, Guardian frame/filter their news.
You should try watching/reading both then you'd clearly see that one is just as guilty as the other.
One of the major problems is that people only read/watch their 'side'.
I clearly lean towards conservative politics but there are many things about conservative politics I don't agree with and do watch the ABC and 'leftist' YouTube channels.
But I go in with my own prejudices and beliefs like everyone else and that colours how I view them, but I try not to shut myself off from good ideas/thoughts. To think that either side has a mortgage on good ideas is for fools.

i dont really agree with the bolded. We have good natured arguments at work on Donald Trump, (until they end in tears!) and one of the guys will show me something and i will look at it and see something completely different to what he sees. I think people find it almost impossible to change their opinion on something no matter what they read or watch.
Classic case is where The Donald had his first press conference in a while last week (i will declare my hand and say i am not in Donalds corner), I saw an insane (or acting insane purposefully) person who spouted his spiel which had blatant lies in it, The opposition saw Donald give a reasoned speech which will lead America to be great again. We both looked at the same thing and came to totally different conclusions.

Also never underestimate the dumbness of the masses. People dont want to view the facts with arguments anymore (some may argue it has always been the case). So Trump can get away with saying "this is fake news" without any semblance of an argument why, and every single supporter will cheer and say YEAH go Donald, the media are liars. Make America Great Again. He says it so often it seeps into the brain an therefore its stuck there.

Say what you like about Trump, he has been able to manipulate both sides of the media beautifully, he has totally bamboozled the left media by using arguments that they have never come across before and so they are stumped in how to counteract it, and he has the right media in the palm of his hand AND he has mastered the art of getting his message across without using any media except his own twitter and Facebook. I think this will happen a lot more in the future.

oh and there is a documentary on Hitler on netflix made in 1977 called Hitler: A Career, and if you watch the first 30 mins or so of it, and you listen to the words (not so much the delivery).... if Trump hasnt modelled himself on Hitler from this documentary i will be shocked... it . is... freaky!

What is the model? Can you elaborate?

just the way Hitler came to power, both had really similar personality traits, both speak in platitudes, (make Germany/America great again) but wanted large rallies so they can give the masses their messages themselves. very 1984 if you have read the book
Nothing to do with 1984 unless you can reference something? And trump has already called out CNN ( campaigner hill kill news network ) for being fake. How is that 1984?

are you following anything on the internet apart from your FB community?
