Siddle and Johnson have been inspired to potential match winning performances and even Harris is chipping in. This thread is crucial to us claiming the third Ashes test at the WACA and keeping the series alive.

Hilfenhaus is shit.

Would drop Siddle before Hilfenhaus. Both have the same amount of wickets, but Hilf has been building pressure from an end.

I'd still tell him he desperately needs to work on variation if he wants to get wickets. The off cutter should be the bread and butter wicket taking delivery of the outswinger, but I haven't seen him bowl one all series. Which is strange, because the reason he bowled well in India was because he used cutters effectively.

agreed legend 116.
drop siddle before hilfy. hilfy is atleast keeping it tight, holding up an end, getting some movement. but you are spot on, needs more variation in his bowling.

He has been the best bowler for the past 6 months you tools......... Still can't believe Harris got a game before him at Adelaide.........

i guarantee all of you, we don't clean up england in the first innings without hilfenhaus bowling at the other end. most astute observers will tell you that one of the problems with our bowling attack has been the lack of bowling in partnerships - hilfenhaus was the perfect partnership bowler on day 2, he's a crucial team member for that when you have harris and a more upright johnson at the other end.

It's just the NSW fans trying to get Bollinger in the team again.

Not going to happen if you read the underlying Anger that Bollinger said he was fit to play in Adelaide and faded badly after his first spell.

Hilfs not in his peak form but has bowled solidly at Perth and has foiled Johnston perfectly. Having said that though I think he may get the 12th man duties in Melbourne for Beer but will be back in for injury or a Siddle failing at Boxing day.

He has Strauss stuffed like no other in our bowling attack.

Wont be dropped as long as that is the case.

Bowling well, and has them in trouble, but is a little predictable.

And is our most consistently good bowler, even if he isn't ripping through the line up.

What a hack! Still only has one wicket from the test, and that was a shit ball to a dud batsmen playing a terrible shot! I will probably end up with more wickets for the series than Hilf! etc
