Yep agreed, thought some of the preferencing was a bit bizarre. I only know a couple of them and it's fair to say they are more technophiles than politicians, at least they are putting some new ideas on the table I guess. You're spot on about the interest levels, sense people are tired of the bickering between the major parties

The Senate results are hilarious so far. Should sit down with a bowl full of popcorn for some great entertainment.

I'm not sure if it's funny or sad that we elected two parties who don't appear to have any policies other than loving sport and representing "motorists' interests"! It was basically decided by preference deals, I mean really who is going to bother voting below the line with the size of that ballot paper. A bit annoyed that the Future Party guys didn't get in now, at least they had some policies...
 
I voted below the line. Definitely started regretting it when I got up to the 60 mark. I essentially only voted below the line so I could put Pauline Hanson at 110 and then work my way up. Having a look at which parties preferenced who would probably have been a better way to go haha

I very helpfully found it after the election, I think the AEC website has all the info too. Hopefully I remember where to look in three years' time xD

Yeah i dont like to moan mods, but why can the hawks page have a 6 page thread about the afl swans and how shit we are but we cant have a bit of banter? Again dont want to be a pain, but seemed like harmless fun to me, the hawks fans are twits why cant we talk about it?
 
I get your point but I'd like to think we're better than that, try not to sink to their level guys. Any issues take it up with us via PM
