Bodycam, phones and social media makes those sorta incidents seem more prevalent than what it really is.

There’s always gonna be some bad eggs.

I’d like to think that individual no longer has his job.
Actually those things are resulting in less of that violence because it gets recorded. When I was young it was standard practice for coppers to bash people. That's why they had nicknames like "wallopers" and "bullymen". People would often end up in hospital after a run in with the cops, especially if they'd been drinking.

You'd like to think that person no longer has a job but they've only been stood down at the moment. So they may get their job back despite the extreme violence we all saw. How is it that "a few bad eggs" get those jobs these days? You can't work with kids, including volunteer work, without a heap of police checks, welfare checks and associated safety training these days and as a result the safety of children has increased significantly. Bad eggs shouldn't make it thru screening.

I won’t even watch the Olympics. How is it justified that russia is banned but Israel isn’t?

On their flag bearer , what kind of a reaction are they likely to get as they enter the stadium?

What a vile piece of *hit

Because the international order as imposed (for now) from Washington is fundamentally racist and hypocritical.

Anyone signed up to that order, especially the Ukraine disaster, is by definition racist themselves.

Farion murdered by one of her own lololol, Russian speaking Azov Nazis working out the real bull goose looney Ukranian Nazis hate them, consider them subhuman and use them as cannon fodder.

That kid is younger than Sheezel.

That kid is younger than Sheezel.

That Sheez is not fighting his way through tunnels in Khan Younis is quite something. What a soldier he'd be - and how much in one generation has the attitude to IDF servive changed.

Back than pretty much all Jewish kids in Melbourne like him did their service.

To be fair, I don't think this is a 'big shift'. She's got on-the-record comments along the same lines going back months and months.

I think the "big shift" is that someone who could very well be President in six months saying it?

I saw this and thought "oh shit this is a pretty cool thing, I guess the Dems are trying to make Kamala sound more appealing to left-wing voters by pushing this"...

Then I realised it was the Trump campaign posting about it, and they intended it as an attack.

Hahahaha.

A ship is in a berth at the port, a boat passes it.

The MV Bahijah was expected to deliver 4,000 cattle to Israel from Fremantle. (ABC News: Rebecca Trigger)

In short:

A live export vessel has been waiting for four weeks for clearance to sail to Israel from Fremantle.
The 4,000 head of cattle are not on the ship, they're being held in quarantine facilities, ready for loading.

What's next?

Farmers say the cattle can be processed locally or sent to other markets if approval is not given.

A consignment of 4,000 cattle due to be shipped to Israel has been waiting a month for approval from Australia's live export regulator to depart Fremantle.
The cattle were due to sail to Israel around South Africa to avoid the conflict-prone Red Sea, where Houthi forces have been attacking global shipping passing through the Gulf of Aden.
But it's understood security concerns about a location in northern Israel where the ship was to unload have stalled clearance from the Department of Agriculture.
The MV Bahijah remains at anchor off the WA coast, unable to begin the 33-day journey.

Interesting

Interesting to note that the past few weeks there has not been any noticeable bump in the polls for Trump following;
  • The shooting
  • The debate
  • The change of candidates for the Democrats
  • The Republican National Convention
  • The announcement of Vance as VP
Definitely seems to suggest that Trump is a known quantity, and there's no true 'swing' voters in elections involving him. People have made up their minds, by and large.

Yep, agree with this analysis. His ground game had improved significantly since 2016 but even with all the anti democratic measures in place the Democrats should win comfortably if they can get their vote out.

The Denocrats have a coalition of voters Trump doesn't.
