Why are they flying out of Australia? Don’t they have bases closer?

B2 bombers require extreme levels of specialised maintenance and on-ground servicing. There's very, very, very few airbases in the world that they're ever based at.

Their homebase is in Missouri, USA, but as part of the Aus-US alliance three B2's were recently stationed at RAAF Tindal (near Katherine NT) for a short deployment.

I haven't seen/cared to look up confirmation, but my assumption is that the B2's departed Tindal, flew their sorties over Yemen, and continued on directly to Missouri, signalling an end to their Tindal deployment. They won't return to Tindal anytime soon I'd assume (but could be wrong).

So to those kids he wasn't a terrorist but a freedom fighter.

He's only a terrorist is you situate you worldview as opposed to the Palestinian struggle against occupation and genocide imo.

Straight to the personal attacks.

Saying "terrorists are terrorists" then accusing others of "childish world-views" is five star content btw.

At risk of being told how your other friends who are really cool - they go to another school though, we won't know them - read this thread and think im a big stupid head etc etc, I'll continue.

What is, in your opinion LEGITIMATE resistance to the ongoing Israeli genocide if Hezbollah and Hamas are just "terrorists"?

What a disgusting comment.

There’s nothing LEGITIMATE about killing unarmed civilians in the hundreds at gunpoint, no matter the cause.

He’s a terrorist because he planned and
orchestrated the murder at gunpoint and knifepoint of a bunch of teenage civilians and children in their beds

Coward may be a better word for him.

Common sense is unfortunately rare in this thread, but it's always refreshing to see it.

You are, of course, spot on.

Only a fool would argue against Sinwar being a terrorist.

You missed the point.

If that isn't legitimate resistance, what is?

(Also lol at the idea of the Hamas attack on Israel being "cowardly", it was many things, but cowardly is wasn't. They busted out of a giant open air prison guarded by an advanced and brutal military power.)

Ok, so if Sinwar was a terrorist and Hezbollah are terrorists, what is in your view legitimate resistance to the genocide you say is happening?

Al Qaeda's most successful period - it's role in Syria that won it a still existing mini country - occurred immediately after Bin Laden's death.

Cmon. There's no way you actually believe that.

Al-Qaeda's peak was so clearly and obviously the 1998-2003 period. Starting with the US Embassy bombings and ending with the 2003 bombings in August-November. And including a little incident in September 2001.

And you know that. I know that you know that.

Stop letting your love of Russia and all things loosely affiliated with Russia (in this instance, the Syrian conflict) make you distort and twist reality to suit your narrative. It's ridiculous.

The red army now relying on 10,000 North Korean conscripts to keep up the fight.

How the mighty have fallen.

Serious question, do you actually believe this, or its just shitposting?

Also, noting the derisive use of Red Army.

The fighting force that smashed the Nazis - you think they're the bad guys?

Something something 'personal attacks reeeeeee' something something

That wasn't a personal attack, that was a statement of fact.

Also I can't let this comment go through to the keeper without challenging it further;

It wasn't 'Al Qaeda' that won itself a "still existing mini country" in Syria.

For those unaware, what Comrade Warlord is actually referring to here is just straight up ISIS.

By way of background, before ISIS (aka "the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria") was called ISIS, they were known as ISIL (aka "the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant"). Before they were called ISIL, they were known as ISI (aka "the Islamic State of Iraq"), and before they were known as ISI, they were known as AQI (aka "Al-Qaeda in Iraq").

So yes, just want to point out that the valiant heroes in Syria that Warlord loves to talk up and applaud for their glorious victory and not taking refuge in Qatar are... ISIS.

This is one my favourite little devices of yours, its so cute.

That was a great period of operational success at one level, but the reality is it lost them their safe haven in Afghanistan, decimated their leadership and scattered their troops around the world (lots into a fun friendly in no way like what the evil Russians would do facility in Guantanamo Bay).

It's why the Al Qaeda military shura declined to support Osama's "Planes Operation" - and they have been vindicated.

And you know that. I know that you know that.

Another of your little devices, this one slightly more sinister, but ultimate hollow.

What it means "oh no, he's talkning about stuff I don't know, better default to attacking his facts"

Stop letting your love of Russia and all things loosely affiliated with Russia (in this instance, the Syrian conflict) make you distort and twist reality to suit your narrative. It's ridiculous.

My God you are so dense.

Al Qaeda have managed to hold their mini-country in Idlib DESPITE massive Russian attacks.

If anything its existence proves the limit of Russian power ffs.

Also I can't let this comment go through to the keeper without challenging it further;

You do have your adoring audience after all.

It wasn't 'Al Qaeda' that won itself a "still existing mini country" in Syria.

This will be news to Jolani.

For those unaware, what Comrade Warlord is actually referring to here is just straight up ISIS.

Someone's been at Wikpiedia!

Sigh - there was an enormous split, they literally fought a war over it, Zawahiri issued fatwas, the whole deal.

Tldr, Jabhat "left" Al Qaeda because they understood it was bad PR for the Western-backed patrons

Anyway, if you wish to dispute whether the jihadist psychos currently running Idlib - and Jolani is still their boss, it was just another rebrand - are terroristsm, you should take it up with your old friends at the feds.

So yes, just want to point out that the valiant heroes in Syria that Warlord loves to talk up and applaud for their glorious victory and not taking refuge in Qatar are... ISIS.

I honestly don't know how you've arrived at this, wasn't I embarassing myself by stanning the Russians in Syria a few posts ago?

You really do make this shit up as you go (and wiki).

They station them at RAAF Amberly in SE Qld.

They rotate thru there every year or two, well they have been for the last few years.

As you say, because of the extreme levels of s work they require there's only a few places that they operate from and those places will be targeted by Chinese and Russian nuclear missiles.

So there's nothing legitimate about the latest Gaza invasion or most of what has happened in Palestine since the Dier Yessin massacre?

It wasn’t an attack on Israel it was an attack on innocent civilians, including a large amount of residents of various countries around the world. Let’s clear that up to start.

Just like Israel attacks aren’t on “Hamas” when dropping bombs on 40,000 poor souls housed in homes, schools and hospitals

Of course not.

This thread is filthy to be honest. Both sides of the argument thinly veiled celebrations of civilian deaths on an almost daily basis.

No justification, no matter what, for some of these actions.
