Someone online mentioned that balta used a bottle in the assaultHe has been charged, does that mean he cannot play?
SACK HIM! Guilty by media and public opinion.. Sonja and Jen wouldn’t stand for this. Lynch the young fellaHmm so Cats have had the Bruhn (alledged sexual assault), Stengle (drunk nightclub) and this most recent assault report and what scrutiny have they had on them from the AFL media?
Nothing like suggesting your own sentence.Mulwala and AFL footballers in court is almost a tradition now.
Perhaps Balta can go the ‘don’t convict me as I want to be a firefighter’ option à la Heath Scotland:

That happened to my mother's uncle. No bullshitting. He survived.A 22-year-old Spanish tourist died on Friday after being attacked by an elephant she was bathing in Thailand,
Blanca Ojanguren García was washing the animal at the Koh Yao Elephant Care Centre in Koh Yao district of Phangnga province when it sank its tusk in her, later leading to her death.

GORED BY ELEPHANT. - CIRCUS HAND'S ESCAPE. Pinned Against Motor-truck. - The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 - 1957) - 30 Sep 1929
Hatty Greatorex, aged 21 years, of North street, Reservoir, had a remarkable escape on Saturday afternoon when an elephant attacked him at Pony's circus, Yarraville, ...trove.nla.gov.au
True on both counts. I had seen elephants in a Thai jungle village north of Chiang Mai back in the early 90s - they looked OK compared to the one's I'd seen more recently, chained to posts by the side of the road in Bali." The elephant was known to be dangerous".
That's coz they are wild animals. Elephants in Thai camps have been beaten to get them to be docile to entertain tourists.

As a kid, I can recall seeing the scars on Uncle Harry's stomach. It didn't look like it was a minor injury but none of us kids believed his story - we only found out that it was true years later.
And how's the Argus, Sep 30/1929 article, where it lists the street addresses of the people involved in the story (Particularly, Mr Mgrath's as where he lived was completely irrelevant to the elephant)?

Uncle Harry passed away around 30 years ago. I'm unsure about the elephant - I wasn't at Arden St that fateful day although my wife was (elephant match day).Nearly 100 years ago
Wat happened to the Elephant?
And Uncle?
Uncle Harry passed away around 30 years ago. I'm unsure about the elephant - I wasn't at Arden St that fateful day although my wife was (elephant match day).
And here's the really weird thing... When I was about 13 or 14 I stayed at uncle Harry's place. We visited his wife's brother while we were there. Saw the young girl who lived next door. Had a chat but then went home.
Wind the clock forward about 10 years and I realised that the house we visited was next door to where my wife lived and the girl ended up... Well... She is a North Melbourne supporter.
It would have been a fair trip back in the day. I've only been to Reservoir a couple of times myself as it's still a long way away. The elephant that got stuck into Uncle Harry?
Fair trip from Reservoir to Yarraville. Probably mostly bush 100 years ago?
I remember when Melbourne ended at Broadmeadows back in the 70’s

Was joking about the Arden St elephant of course, but it was also a circus animal that went a bit OOC.
I was at the elephant game ( no I really was!), but on the other side of the ground near the Collingwood race , and that elephant was definitely spooked by the loud instantaneous roar from the pies crowd as they ran out. Still laugh when I think of what my brother said as it unfolded in a serious but matter of fact tone: “they really shouldn’t have elephants at the footy”It would have been a fair trip back in the day. By the way, Uncle Harry was active in the St John Ambulance for years = most of the 60s and 70s. He did first aid work at the footy. If any of you were ever treated by an old bloke who was quite obviously an asthmatic, who had the middle two fingers missing from his left handAnd Uncle?
