I hate seeing these reports, doesn't matter what club it's from.

You just want to get everyone to the starting blocks.
Obviously I don't hold outwardly ill will towards many players, but I've always wished Marshall well after finding out he lost both parents within like six months at the age of 20. ****ing brutal

SACK HIM! Guilty by media and public opinion.. Sonja and Jen wouldn’t stand for this. Lynch the young fella

Oh, I get the point.

I wonder how you all feel about Majak?
No doubt Majak made some mistakes (suspended for lying to Bard about going to a nightclub whilst rehabbing an injury, owed teammates money, sexual assault case etc.), but he was able to win back trust of his teammates and the club.

That sadly was not the case for TT. You can't blame Sonja, Jen, Jy when Viney and the footy department had lost the trust in him. They gave him enough chances, it's sad he couldn't take it.

No. Thats not how this works. Now you are missing the point. Thats a double standard precedent set by people on this board. We believe ALL women no matter the outcome? Correct? So, everyone shouldnt have been so glowingly brushing aside what Majak allegedly did. Or is it because Thomas is Indigenous? I think it may be the latter

“Melbourne star Kysaiah Pickett looks set to join Fremantle after the 2025 season, sources have told The West Australian.

It comes after the Demons premiership forward had been linked to a move home to Western Australia at the end of last year but ultimately remained at the club.

However, it is understood the homesick star is now desperate to return to WA despite being contracted until the end of 2027….

Pickett, who welcomed his first child with partner Ardu in April last year, expressed interest in a move for family reasons during his exit meeting with the Demons but did not officially request a trade.”

So much wrong with this I don't know where to start or why I'd bother. Maybe make some room for redemption and forgiveness in your life.

Maj went to court and was found not guilty after the evidence against him was shown not to be able to support the case. Sonja, who wrote the clubs Reconciliation Action Plan later on, supported him thru the process.

Tarryn was supported by the club for years thru court cases and rehab programs. His captain was an indigenous man from one of the most disadvantaged indigenous communities in Victoria and Tarryn was paid over 2.5 million dollars for a seasons worth of games across three seasons. I don't think he was sacked because he is a blackfella.

You could add Thomas pleaded guilty to an offence that occurred while he was engaged in a club program to deal with exactly the behaviour he was charged with.

Only my view, but police knew the case against Maj would collapse - it was the investigating officer’s testimony that sank the prosecution - but they went on with it to avoid being seen to do favours to footballers - this in the context of the controversy over the mysterious disappearance of the files involving Stephen Milne

I am lead to believe Tarryns charges have been dropped. Nothing to see here. Yet we are still hanging him out to dry? From my understanding and knowing several people that went to school with Majak, No one on this site should have Majaks back whatsoever.. yet here we are. Doesn’t make any sense and double standards

Correct me if I am wrong but didn’t TT also contravene his court order of diversion?

lol

He plead guilty to breaching a court order not to contact a victim and in exchange the cops dropped the harassment charge. You'll note that he was in the middle of one of his behavioural courses when he did that. But yeah, nothing to see here he's a good bloke I'm sure.

Yeh but its all good for Majak.. Hypocrites, the lot of ya

You left out the particulars but cool. He sent text messages. Whoopty ****in do
If you want to continue this discussion, it would be useful to get the actual facts straight:

1. Tarryn Thomas pleaded guilt to breaching a court order - in return for the guilty plea, police dropped the charge in relation to use of the phone to harass. If you think breaching a court order is 'whoopty ****in do', try it next time you're in court and see how you go. Based on his guilty plea, the court ordered him to continue treatment and recorded no conviction

2. North Melbourne terminated Thomas' contract for the obvious reason that he failed to abide by the employer's reasonable and lawful direction to commit to an education program to address the behaviour which breached the industry's code of conduct. I would wager most employers would terminate employment in those circumstances - I certainly did in my management career.

3. Majak was found not guilty by a County Court jury - note the legal test involved - when the police witness undermined the credibility of the accuser by confirming that she (the accuser) had suggested another girl had been assaulted by Daw, but when the police talked to that other girl, she denied any inappropriate behaviour on Daw's part. IIRC they all went to school together, so with your good connections to the group you should be able to verify all that.

If you're keen to pursue a line about indigenous footballers getting a different standard of treatment, I'd go with Andrew Lovett who was sacked by St Kilda when sexual assault charges were laid against him, only for him to be acquitted of those charges - he never played AFL again.

However, pursuing that case involves St Kilda, and therefore does not seem to fit your agenda of continually harping on (alleged) incapacity of the current female leadership of our club.
