I can guarantee you that's not the case. The goal umpires are just gun shy over what happened in Adelaide last year. I know the goal umpire who did the Rich/PA game today. He was renowned for backing himself and getting it right and was rewarded with the 2022 Grand Final. But today even he reviewed two that he probably was 95% sure about just to eliminate the 5% chance of being wrong.
