I wonder what the odds are of us building one within 20 years then 🤔

We'd be better off getting it built in China and importing it in a Shipping Container, its what we're good at .

Even our gas fields did that. I saw them on the docks at Brisbane, they looked something like the below.
Our local expertise seems to consist of unloading them, sticking a gasket in the joints and bolting the flanges together.

Yep, we are zero chance of building nuclear. Finland, who already have a strong industry went well over budget and years over time just to add to existing plants.

Slyme

Translation. We think there are enough idiot voters to get us over the line

Of course plenty of voters know exactly what is happening

Meanwhile happy to accuse the govt of not focussing on cost of living

Sense of familiarity to the posting…surely not…
Haven’t been on here for years and can’t even remember my old account.

of that’s you see the world just through black and white narrow lenses?

Use examples of renewables from other countries and how they went and they all still need a base load something we don’t have

Then look in to how renewables are made, eg all those minerals and rare earthed material come from some where, then you have the production and refining waste and that is only the beginning
