Yeah might be simply Beal is moving to a 6th man role and having nothing to do with Butler. Trade makes no sense and is not workable at face value, there is not enough draft assets possible to attract a tanking team to eat Beal but he has a no trade clause anyway. Man that guys agent must be good.
His on / off numbers are like -9 & +3 so he is a 12 point negative net swing. His best remaining value might be a little ball hogging with 2nd units. For the next 3 years, ouch.
Moving screens used to be illegal, but who knows the way the game is refereed these days.

I mean with all the actual flopping that goes on in the league, getting upset when a guy genuinely gets crunched seems odd.

Miami won't take Beal. Suns could be forcing him to waive the NTC to get out though in a 3 team trade. Not sure who would take Beal but there are basketcases out there. Exhibit A is Beal's NTC

I wonder what it would take for Brooklyn to take Beals deal on. Simmons expiring goes to Miami with Beal to Nets. I know it doesn’t make sense but I can see it happening with the suns new ownership getting a hard on everytime they get a chance for a new star and not caring about their future.

Is it too outside the realms to just trade Booker instead of Beal. The issue is they don’t gel together. One has no value, the other has good value . 3 way trade with San Antonio to get Booker over could work
