Luka to be fair doesnt have the system around him for it to be otherwise in a way. If he had Dort to do the defense and a J-Will style PF i think this conversation may be different

Sure but one puts in both ends of the court for me. The team is a factor yes.

Be honest how much Mavs do you watch because Luka has been solid on defence and was incredible in the first round on that end.

Based off this season alone Luka is averaging more

points, rebounds, assists, better from 3 on much larger volume, higher effective field goal %.

This reminds me a lot of the Tatum > Luka debates that come up during most play offs because he has a much better and well rounded roster every year.

Shai does the other things like clears space for teammates, defends multiple opponents, He is able to involve his teammates more as a secondary offensive option which Luka doesnt or wont do.

Its a roster issue more then talent one I feel since I do believe for example Luka can defend but well he doesnt get the chance too and I do think he can be a catch and shoot option too but he doesnt get the chance too

Giddey was not the same after that airball in the lst, hopefully they still have him in OKCs long term plans as they are going to be a Top 3 team for the next 5 years.

At least Josh Green played a good game.

T Wolves look good
Won't beat this years Celtics and probably won't get past OKC given the depth they have from the bench but they are the toughest team in the NBA and should win a long awaited championship in the coming year or two.

Congratulations Timberwolf Rudy Golbert now four time DPOY. He joins Dikembe andBen Wallace in that realm.

Rudys defence was so good that even in his absence he held the high octane denver offence to 80 points

4333 points is solid.

What's Wemby's under/over for DPOTY awards? 4.5?

Hard to see him ever being healthy and not winning it going forward to be honest. I'd take the overs on that.

And the voters are not watching 1000 NBA games and studying specifically players for their defence over a million minutes of play. It's just easier this way.

Luka just doesnt let anyone else on his team play a real role, just does way too much.
SGA actually gets off the ball and allows OKC to develop some sort of offensive chemistry.
Just taking turns playing Harden ball with Kyrie isnt going to be enough.

SGA has the 3rd highest usage rate in the NBA, he really does possess the ball a ton and the entire offense is built around him.

The main difference is on the OKC roster they have multiple guys who have the ability to handle the ball. The Mavs 3rd best ball handler might legit be Exum.

Seems standard for a Knicks game lately but Knicks out to an 11 lead and that was cut back level within 50 seconds...

Kinda wish Jok walked straight out of that interview after that Shaq comment.

Shaq does have a point though it’s very subjective. We all knew Joker was winning let’s be real Emblid before injury wins this in a landslide
