Just got quit on, was 45-8 at half time. I even let him kick one goal though.

I effectively tank for three quarters just to keep the opponent close enough if it's clear they're pretty shit. I'm so sick of getting six goals up in the third quarter and being quit on, so it's just easier to give up a few gimmie goals and keep it close until three quarter time.

He quit as soon as I got 3 goals up in the first quarter playing as the Eagles and he had the Dockers.
This is bullshit now my reliablity is 99 instead of 100. I'm not playing this game online through matchmaking until the patch comes out!!

This guy did this to me also but my rating went bak up after a few games.
I had to laugh though i kicked 10 goals in the first qtr.:D

Both playing as the eagles, he quits when i'm up by 30 taking a shot at goal in the 2nd.
I'm starting to get sick of having to send abusive messages.

I was up 49(suns) - 6(cats at Q-time and the bitch quit

I play as Gold Coast exclusively so I find it much harder, especially in the contested marking.

I wonder how I'd go if I played as a decent team haha, seeing as I win more then I lose now

My psn name is the same as my forum name (baz2005) I always play as Footscray. I cant believe the cheating online such as gamers moving players to block the ball from a free kick in front of goal!!?? Ive only managed to win 5 games as 90% of the time if im infront early i get quit on!! If any of these people play real footy on the weekend, do they quit when their team down aswell??? Ive been beaten by over 10 goals on a few occasions and I play it out. Im still yet to find out who im playing against on psn?? how??
 
I'm fing over this game. This is literally hands down the WORST game community I have EVER come across, and it is shameful that they are all australians. I cannot win a game. They always quit.

I just played about 4 games in a row, got quit on every time.

J Miguel8 as the Cats quit
nmstepho as his own custom team quit in the first quarter cus I kicked the first three goals
Frofthie27 as St Kilda quit after I kicked a few goals in a row in the 2nd quarter

THe WORST of all was MIKESTERVASK who was playing as Collingwood (typical).

He was actually beating me all over the ground and was three goals up at half time, I didn't kick a single goal till late in the second quarter. After I worked out his tactics I drew in close at 3q time, and then got about 10 odd points up in the last quarter, as the clock got to ONE SECOND LEFT HE QUIT.

PATHETIC.

Something has to be done, I'm over it. I'm gonna go buy LA Noir and shelve this until they do something about the quitters.

lol played a collingwood player this morning kicked 9 goals to 0 in the first and he quits... buy far worse player ive ever seen online
 
I asked Mikestervask why all collingwood supporters are the worst losers, he told me he was a port supporter and that i was a ******. So I responded with "ahh so you are too weak to use your own club then? Even bigger pussy than I originally thought, thanks for the update"

I'm going to say this once more, and once more only.

LET YOUR OPPONENT KICK SOME GOALS AND KEEP HIM IN THE MATCH UNTIL 3 QUARTER TIME - Then go hammer and nail on his ass and if he quits, you still get the win :thumbsu:

I know it sucks but it's better than the alternative.

I still get quit on once I get infront though, it's ridiculous. This shouldn't be how we have to play. The funs slowly being drained out of the game. I'll go back to it at some point, but I'm over it. La Noir coming soon.

Not sure how that's the games fault? :confused:

EG. In FIFA the scores are generally a hell of a lot lower and therefore, online matches are relatively close for the whole game, often just a simple goal separating the two teams. This gives incentive for the player whose losing to hang around and try to snatch the win.

IN AFL, you have massive blowouts. That's just how it is and it really doesn't offer much incentive for someone to hang around when they are being beaten by 5+ goals because they feel they have no chance of coming back in the match.

The patch will go some way to giving losing players more incentive to stick with a match but really, even after the patch;

If they stay - They lose by 5+ goals
If they quit - They now get a loss instead of a disconnect

So either way they still lose, but if they quit, they save 10-15 mins worth of getting their ass kicked. Again, not much incentive to stay.

So although a loss will hurt more than a disconnect for a quitter after the patch, people will still quit. Not much we can do about it unless we give them incentive to stay in the game ie. let them kick some goals to keep the match close (especially if make out that your trying your hardest - they start to get cocky ;)).
