I had a ridiculous day where I played about 17 games. I won 2 and lost 2. :eek:

I think there was a big string of quitters in there too.

Not a quitter but this guy needs to be named and shamed.

Played him a few nights ago and smashed him. Played him again last night and noticed he was now trying to block every one of my set shots at goal, which he wasn't doing in the first game. He beat me by a couple of goals, which is fine as I should have caught onto his tricks earlier, but I messaged him to tell him, "Too bad you couldn't beat me without blocking my set shots ;)". Here's the reply I got - "Yeah sorry but sometimes being cheap works".

Sounds like he was rather nice about it. The last guy to use exploits in beating me sent me a message straight after saying only: "EAT A DICK. WOOOOOOOOOW". Very random/amusing.
 
Funny thread. Happy to see my name wasn't mentioned. Played 5 games tonight, lost first one by 108, then had 3 rage quitters, one was only down 50-37 at half time.

The last game was most interesting, the guy ran the wrong way most of the quarter and let me tackle him to get a free on kick outs just to try and keep me from rage quitting. I almost rage quit on him. Didn't tho.

I always wondered why i have won just about every first quarter I have played only to either win or get beaten very easily, its people having to take it easy so you don't rage quit.

Got to give credit to him

He played as Collingwood i was Fremantle, he only won 1 hit out and got beaten 114-6 but he did not quit and played out the entire match
 
I have taken some absolute pastings but I figure it's worth it for the badges for consecutive games without quitting etc.

I had a ''rage quit'' the other day. I was beating someone by a few goals and he'd left his microphone on, he can't have been more than 10 or 11 then his mum came in and told him to get off ''that game''

An argument ensued and about a minute later he dropped out lol

I don't remember his username but it was funny.
 
i just had my first rage quit...

i was playing against some guy who picked richmond (my usual team), and they weren't bad.. it was neck and neck and they pulled out to a 3 goal lead in the 3rd quarter...

and then they decided to start cheating by standing a second player in front of the mark from my set shot at goal. **** that, i'm not giving anybody the satisfaction of a victory and i would rather have a 'forfeit' than a 'loss' against a dirty cheat. i just wish there was a way for me to find out their PS3 username before going up against them.

Yesterday I must have played at least 10 games in a row and of course every time I was in front I was quit on - the only two games no one quit on me was because I lost. It's no wonder people quit when they're down when people quit on you when you're up (not that I do, I prefer to keep playing and try to come back and I've come back from 5 goals to zip before)

i do enjoy playing online, but the only way i can play a full game is if im getting beaten, have now had 5 quitters in a row, played someone last night, quickly realised i was better than them and kept the score close on purpose, come the last quarter i kick the first 2 goals to be 11 points up and he quits straight away! still got the win, but just wanted to play the game out, dissapointing
 
Lag has got to be the worst thing of all time, especially when it takes off 3 of their behinds then adds them as 3 goals at the end of the game, out of the blue. So hard not to quit during those games where it is impossible to tackle and they can run from defense to attack completely untouched
 
Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but how to you check the name on psn? Just played a guy vs blues and he was ontop early but I slowly fought back and eventually piled on a few in a row in the 2nd qtr to lead by 4 goals or so. Take a make infront of goal and what do ya know disconnected.
Same again next game except I was pumping him the whole time, could've been the same guy I guess.

Oh well, still fun unfortunately!

Hard to explain, but after the game when it shows you all the stats and you press X to advance to the next set of stats, on the forth screen where it shows you the XP you gained, both you and your opponent's PSN names will be at the top of the box above where it shows all the XP information.

i gave up my 8 game streak to quit a game i was winning ( wish i didnt, didnt know i would lose my streak) because the lag was just so bad that whoever won the center pretty much kicked a goal... I just wasnt having fun with that sort of lag... Would have rather been playing a game with no lag where i was losing by 50pts
