Analysis The overly optimistic and ambitious 'How we can make the Top 4' thread

Not saying we didn't deserve to have the chance to win yesterday, we played well enough to deserve it. But winning it in the fashion we did was almost like daylight robbery. That's just my opinion. However I certainly don't classify it as a lucky victory, it's the sort of win that'll hold us in good stead for the next couple of weeks.
Talking about stealing wins - not sure if Geelong stole their match today or Richmond just being Richmond let it slip.

Isnt it funny how bad we have played this year, yet we are still in with a shot. Those games have bitten us right in the anus.
Every relevant side in '16 has had periods of great football followed by patches of ****ness and losses to lower-ranked sides, but our playing level has been remarkably consistently 'pretty meh'; getting the job done and going down against highly-rated sides (the Pies game, though...). We seem to have kept some in the bank, and brought out the extra gear on Saturday. Shuey really seemed to lift our other midfielders, it was awesome to see confidence again.

Wouldn't be crazy to suggest our best is coming. But, from outside the 4 it becomes so tough.

Even if we win both games we are still relying on at least two upsets for us to take a top four spot. Two of Port beating Crows, Pies beating Hawks and North beating Giants need to happen for us to grab a top four.

And winning both those games is a big if in the first place.

We need to go 2-0

And hope for loss from above teams with a percentage dip

Annoyed geelomg won ...as I think Melbourne are in red hot form and can win at skilled

I said this last week before the GWS game

Do you think simmo and the lads are sitting around going lads the season is stuffed ...we are no chance

They are thinking ......hell yeah bring it baby

We have actually performed better with backs to the walls and the firing squad pointing at us

Time to get nasty and unsociable ...I'm happy with Tunbridge tackle ....yup he gets a holiday

Next assassin please ........bring in ginners and tell him to injure people in need be ....the stake are high

Or Nelson ....if Nelson goes we've got redeem or Duggan or Jetta

Next......screw the opposition ...time to be a little nasty I say .....not thuggery but a little venom please

Our three best wins

Port away, Roos at subi and GWS away all had an element of unsociability in them ...we played on the edge with some venom

Stuff being nice
