Only 13,000 there today, but I reckon there was more passion at the ground today than we've seen for ages.

I know, it's just a preseason game, and our kids, beaten up hard today, will be hard pressed next week to back that up, but there was just something about that performance that had North fans buzzing.

From the first bounce, the midfield looking tight, and fast. It attacked. It moved the ball. It didn't dutifly stand by its man, it forced them to come to us.

It looked classy, it looked formidable. It looked like... Geelong.

There were some pretty passionate cheers for the Bard as he left the field, you get the feeling the fans like what they saw of the team under his direction.

'New era, seems pretty apt right now.

Did anyone else feel it?

I left the game with no voice today and bloody happy about it. Like you said, only 13k but boy it was loud.

We are coming, we are coming!! If you aren't signed up yet, get going you lazy buggers!!!

Felt it right form the start.
Just so much confidence from guys who have hardly played at this level. That's just an awesome feeling.

We took the game up to them rather then reacting to them.
Even if we had lost today I still had an amazing adrenalin rush which I haven't felt in a while. To actually withstand the pressure and soldier on to an emphatic victory was just something else. Haven't been this happy in a while. :thumbsu:

how many times ablett tried to take us on, back under the laidley era we would corale him, not under scott, we went for the hips and drilled the bald headed traitor

Yep, definate buzz out there today that I haven't heard in years.

I rtemember Pagan referring to it as the North Melbourne roar.

The Ablett stuff was interesting.

I watch a lot of Geelong games, I enjoy watching them play. I am struggling to remember him getting tackled. Campbell forcing him to kick OOTF was gold.

was a great game to watch the players backing themselves and moving forward none of the stop start crap.

better off back at the dome next week.

Coaching staff were outstanding today.
I'm struggling to remember too many games that they weren't in control of.
Ablett just didn't have his normal impact which is huge in itself. Look at the other guns they have who really didn't fire......That's just a huge victory to our coaching staff and of cause to the guys who pulled it off.

Is this exciting or what????

Calm down folks. By my reckoning, Ablett spent half the match in the back pocket.

That won't happen every week.

The pocket I was in went mental when Goldy drilled that goal. Made sure he knew it was good when he was walking the boundry right after as well. Also did anyone see Lappin stacking at the start of the first quarter up the steps?

Great game and great crowd.

Well what an inspiring game of football today.
How big is Leigh Adams Heart?(courage).
And Ben Warren was Awesome.

(HERE COMES THE FUTURE):)
