Needs more Batman universe elements such as if they're bringing Arkham Asylum would have been nice to see some familiar characters and again not a knock off Harley Quinn random

Giggled with glee at the Magpie introduction. Reeves is cooking beautifully in the underbelly of Arkham. I also get serious Hugo Strange vibes from Dr Julian Rush.

Ridiculously good. Holy shit.

Cracking ending to a sensational episode. Gets better every week.

Cristin Milioti take a bow. Outstanding.

Yeah it was awesome. I got slightly confused when
Sofia woke up in Dr Rush's apartment. I thought it was after he sprung her from the asylum but it was after he picked her up from the Maronis incident. Do we know how she got out of the asylum?

How about The Stranglers singing Strange Little Girl as the perfect end credits track for this episode!

Yes I don’t believe they’ve specifically addressed how she left Arkham as yet. It’s probably going to be mentioned sometime soon. However my understanding it would’ve tied into the ending of The Batman. Not sure whether I should spoiler tag or not, that film has been out for a few years now, however will do anyway.

this show picks up a week or two after The Batman. Falcone is exposed as the informant and the corruption exposed that covered up his multiple murders and crimes etc. Given his methods of strangling women that were revealed on that TV broadcast, the murders that pinned on Sofia likely would’ve been attributed to Carmine Falcone. Perhaps some swift legal action by her lawyers etc resulted in her being released from Arkham.

Your explanation of how she got out of Arkham makes sense. I think there was a one liner in ep 4 that Dr Rush helped her brother to get her released.

It doesn't do any harm to add spoiler tags. But maybe when episodes are released weekly the discussion should be open and people who are not up to date should stay clear of the thread?

This series is utterly brilliant. Once again that was from the top shelf.

About as strong an ensemble set of performances as I can recall in a long time. They are all delivering, even supporting characters absolutely nailing it. They all have their time to shine as well. Johnny Vitti in the basement with Sofia. Oz’s mother when listening to Victor update her on the latest news. Chief Bock back from The Batman, when conversing with Sofia at her home. The list goes on.

Some genuine moments this episode where I say out loud “holy shit”. You’ll know when you see it. ****ing hell this is glorious.

Yes agreed, makes sense with that approach.

We are being treated to several well written characters being convincingly portrayed. We might need some new ones soon because they've killed a bunch of them!

I'm looking forward to Oz's new base of operations getting up to speed. The large underground room should be a great set.

As a mushroom geek I'm liking that angle. I suspect they won't go too much into the technicalities of growing them but if you get conditions right you can produce tons of mushrooms in a short timeframe. Which for Oz means control of supply for the new drug Bliss.

The performances are from the top shelf. Across the board. I like how scenes are given plenty of time to breathe in this long format. Oz helping his mother out of the bathtub. Dancing with Victor. Sofia and Eve’s conversation. The ending was fantastic as well.

The highlight for me was the little hug with Victor and whispering to him “it gets easier”. Outstanding.

Another outstanding episode. He made his mother what she is, not the other way round.

When he fell down the hole I was expecting him to find the skeletons of his brothers.

yes I thought the same, I presumed it was the very same overflow tunnel? Given his familiarity with that underground section of Gotham. However it wasn’t explicitly mentioned I don’t believe if they already recovered their bodies (unless I missed that dialogue).

I’m hoping there’s another flashback in the finale next week to see if Oz ever revealed to police or investigators where to potentially search.

Have been on the fence about The Penguin character but the reveal of his brother's, he's completely lost all possible likability and then when he see's the bomb and just walks out whilst he let's his goons die. What a pos haha
