As someone said, property costs the big one

rents ridiculous and places are happy to have empty buildings then drop rents.

Restraunt scene in Perth is hugely competitive, just opening a run of the mill place will get you killed. running a good restraunt isnt good enough either.

I work as a sales rep for a liquor wholesaler and some of the stop credit accounts/money owing to us its kind of scary. Had one go into administration which is on the hook for 5 grand. and im expecting another 2/3 which will be about that much as well go down soon

Example in north perth, anything on fitzgerald street your looking at about 40k Per year. so abut 3400 per week, PLUS other expenses, Tough game

That's more useful information. $40k is about $770 a week (3400 a month), so if you are open every night that's $110 a night.

Not really a huge cost in the context of a $30 mains restaurant but for smaller places like cafes where each customer usually only spends $5-10 it would sting.

Unless you're just getting a drink I'd think it very difficult to only spend $5-10 at a cafe.

I also wouldn't be surprised if the average main wasn't higher than $30.

Not everyone needs a tonne of attractions to enjoy a place. I love the peace and serenity of the perth hills and would live there in a heartbeat

I too like the hills of Perth having spent 10+ years living on a bush block in Bullsbrook. However, Bickley would struggle to make my top ten.

By popular demand, the ten Perth hills locales are as follows:

1. Lesmurdie
2. Kalamunda
3. Chittering
4. Brigadoon (out the back)
5. Parkerville
6. Aralueun
7. Roleystone
8. Swan Hills
9. Armadale Hills
10. Mundaring
97,158. Bickley

Chittering is pushing it, fair drive out.

Gidgegannup (spelling) looks like somewhere I could live for a couple years

Shut up campaigners, stop talking about where you need to go because your burb sucks. This day is magical.

Laying in bed feeling sorry for myself - head pounding, blocked nose, ear ache, sore throat, constant sneezing and loud at that and chest feeling like an elephant is sitting on it. Blew my nose and I now feel like I’ve popped the drum - so flipping painful

Apart from that - what a glorious day

This is maaaaaassive around Perth at the moment. This flu is hitting everyone.

Go to ED when you are feeling like that

I know it’s not the heart - I’ve got a chest infection. The fact I’m an ex smoker apparently is one of the reasons it’s more than just a cold.

Ask for a chest xray still mate infection or no infection

I had one recently and an ecg after experiencing excruciating pain but I had strained the intercostal muscles from excessive coughing

So what's the go with the motorcycle police pulling over other motorcyclists on the freeway for trying to beat the traffic by riding down the middle between the lanes to beat the traffic?

.. then once they have finished issuing their fine or caution or whatever, the bike coppers themselves seek to beat the traffic by overtaking, on the inside, up the emergency lane. Isn't that just as dangerous and illegal??

Oh ok I just assumed that was legal because everyone does it and nobody seems to gaf unless they hit your car because they're crap at it.

Isn't that just how traffic cops roll? 'Oi no speeding, if I catch you doing 65 in this 60 zone again you're in trouble' *tears off into the distance at break neck speed*
The last entanglement I had I posted about before with an unmarked police bike. The guy came up at a set of lights on Canning Highway and then basically lulled me into speeding. I'm sure he was breaking the speed limit first too. I only gave him half a look at the lights and when we took off I was like okay cool you're going at this speed, you're obviously not a cop and I'm happy to match it. This was before 7am btw so there wasn't much traffic. He thought I was trying to race him. Wtf tries to race a motorbike in a car? :drunk:
