Bad loss imo. Can't ask much more from Ben and Joel. Can't do it all by themselves.
I just dont know what to think about the bench. I believe in a lot of them, but they need to bring it every game.

wtf is going on with Covington? unsighted for almost the whole game. he's been horrible since he got paid. TLC is a putrid shooter. Bayless should be D league. Johnson is a 3rd stringer. Why haven't they chased Bogut? He would be solid for 10-15min a game. Holmes isn't a centre and isn't a PF. move him now.
apart from simmons, embiid, jj and sometimes saric they are a very ordinary roster. the bench is just terrible. TLC should be the 3rd guard and he is currently starting.
if they want to land a big fish next year they need to get some players in now to at least get to the second round of the playoffs. they wont do that by finishing 7/8. someone who can create their own shot would be nice.

I don't get the obsession with every player shooting 3's myself. There's more to basketball then shooting 3 pointers.
There is. But simply, in this league if you're going to be a guy who handles the ball a significant amount of the time you have to be able to shoot them to some extent. It's already become problematic late in possessions where he's in 10ft of space and will instead hot potato it to someone in a terrible position with a second left because he won't shoot it. Even if it's just being able to take completely wide open ones, it'll help everyone.
It also kills weakside spacing when defenders know they can just play off him if he's on the other side of the floor and clog lanes, make it harder for others to penetrate.

Wow lol, that was legit pathetic. Ben and Jo shouldn't have seen another minute in that 4th when they were up 28 with 10mins left. Bench has to do better.

Yep me too. That last was horrible. Bench were terrible in the first half of the quarter so Brett had to bring Ben back on.
Nearly punched the wall when Covington fumbled that ball that Ben threw to him.

I actually like Doris, she has a pretty high opinion of Ben. Our team just freezes in thr 4th, defs need another pure scorer. Markelle is legit the perfect player for this team, hope he eventually delivers on the draft hype!

I'm glad ben didn't get selected for the all stars match. He gets some added motivation which may have resulted in him being more aggressive recently. Also means he gets to rest up instead of being involved in some meaningless game.

I'm glad I don't watch games on the reg anymore, cause somehow it makes people sound pinged af...they freaking won!
Bench isn't great, but that was going to be the case with no Kelle. Can either replace that entirely or just add the couple of pieces at the top you need in the off-season to bolster it, but that would also require putting faith in Colangelo's talent valuation skills.

People were justifiably annoyed with how that game played out. Up 28 with 10 minutes left on the first half of a back to back, good opportunity to get guys rest and it got back to 4 and with Miami in possession.
