Deluges in the tropics every year are pretty normal. Darwin gets a storm every day over summer. The monsoon. It’s a pity we can’t store it, or pipe it to dry areas instead of it running out to sea.

Yeah our town falls in a rain shadow due to the location to the Adelaide ranges. We lose a mm of rain for every km away from the ranges.
