Was picking out the close ones. Why bother? Close loss encounters normally hurt more And it just goes to show whenever Hawthorn and Geelong are involved in a close tussle, Geelong are unable to get over the 1989 Grand Final Hoodoo and get over us. Only one occasion in 2001 you guys managed to beat us.

Yes there is a gap from 2001 to 2007, and from 2002 onwards Hawthorn still lead Geelong 5:4.

Those stats are for games between the two clubs. Do you think we were racking up wins against you before you entered the comp?

india beat astralia in a series not in one game, hawthorns win over geelong reminds me of when nezealand beat australia in the chappel headley series.It was a big deal to nz because they arent use to winning but it meant nothing to australia because they had bigger fish to fry

GC_26 that is a seriously good post. What we have here is a case of penis envy on behalf of Hawks fans. They know the cats were by far the standout team of the year and convincingly beat everyone in the finals series except for a spirited collingwood outfit.

So we have a few success starved wannabee's looking over the fence (or Bass strait) trying to grab onto anything they can to try and divert attention away from their teams shocking capitulation to the Kangaroos in the semi's. By trolling cats fans they are trying to forget the off-field issues of their club when in reality it is just insane jealousy that is driving them.

We don't mind if you want to barrack for a real team, just bring your cheque book when you come on board.
