I went to the Mood Lifters show.
The gal on vocals had a great voice.
Terrific show.
When they started with The Spirit Of Radio, and pulled it off,I knew I was in for a great night.
Prog fans are very lovely people.
Hi to all I talked too.
Even the break between sets was awesome, hearing Tull blasted through the PA!
Hope they come back soon.
They appreciated the turnout in Melbourne.
We really are starved of the greatest genre of music known to the human species, prog rock in this town.
I usually go to jazz clubs these days for my music fix.

I've watched a few of the Mood Lifters videos. The band absolutely nails it every time. It's probably hard for the vocalist to do a Geddy consistently but she gets it spot on here.

Rush and the Stones were my favorite bands back in the 70s, and still are really. I had Rush's first five albums, and pretty learned guitar to them (not the solos, Lerxst's is too damn good). :winkv1:
I dropped off just as they hit the radio heavily, didn't need the albums they were always on. Caught up with them in the new millennium. Liked a lot of the stuff after Neil came back.
As the years went by, the thing I really loved and respected about the guys was that they did things their way, never became 'rock stars', and kept getting better and better on their instruments.
