chunkychicken can you post all your blog related stuff here?

I was just going for a cheapie

You mean you posted in a thread when you didn't have something meaningful to contribute? Good heavens, what is this place coming to!

Thanks chunky, interesting to see the poll results come in from last night's game, I missed the game but Melican seems to have caught people's attention. Thread re-railed!

He was really good, shut down Patton and was proactive throughout. Made a mistake in the 2nd, but his next effort made up for it in spades.

Looks a good sort and should see him play a few times this year, especially if we're short on depth.

Melican had composure last night in difficult conditions. I think the coaches would be well pleased with that display. I know I was! We've got some fine defenders coming through.

Is it between Marsh and Melican then? Or do we play them both to free up Jones and/or Mills to the midfield?

I didn't read an apology to Oliver Florent anywhere.

Come on Chunky, man up and admit you were wrong about the kid.
His first half was great. Faded in the 2nd half but that'll happen. The chase down was great.

I reserve the right to say that I was wrong, but he can play. I'm hoping he breaks out and has a 4 quarter performance next week, or even 3 quarters, or 2 & half quarters...

You said he wasn't ready and shouldn't be playing seniors this year.
You are wrong.

Grundy gets awful comments but a 6/10?
He had 1%rs and a few pressure acts, without a lot of clangers, but was still poor - done in contests, shite disposal. Not quite near his usual high standard, but then again most players weren't.
