The Swans have some Sydneysider 'supporters' that brag about having duel memberships and how they love the new team on the block, the only rivalry GWS is manufacturing is between the genuine Swans supporters and the traitors amongst us. I really don't care about GWS at all, I wish them well. The traitors can **** right off though.

We've found the supporter the rivalry scriptures spoke of. The rivalry has now reached its heights.

The rivalry will grow eventually. They'll have their Rod Jameison or Dale Kickett moment that adds spice and venom. Can't be manufactured, has to happen organically.

The Rod Jameson moment was long predicated by the Bruce Weber or Supreme Court Justice I. M. A. Douchebag moment, but I get what you're saying.

Should definitely be called the "Cannibal Cup", coz that's all it's doing to the existing AFL market in Sydney.

Sheedy's track record at building rivalries is unquestionable with Anzac day and Dreamtime at the G.

I'll back it to be a big deal in 5 years time.

Also single-handedly built the West Coast vs Essendon rivalry which is still big to this day and will continue to be so with both sides looking at extended runs at the top.

Trying to create this rivalry can only be a positive. Get some more interest.

Big toast to Sheeds. He knows in the next two years they will struggle, so is putting in his two cents here and there, which is fantastic.

Spot on.
Frankly, my interest this weekend is a percentage boost which will help top 4 chances.

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks that this will become, in time, a massive rivalry? Due to geographic and socio-economic factors this has the potential to become a Silvertails vs. Fibros type rivalry.

Give it time.
