The generally recognised laws of statistics would indicate that every SFA team should fairly expect to participate in a grand final once every 6.5 seasons, and win a premiership once every 13 seasons (which has recently increased from 6 & 12 seasons respectively). Factoring in a two standard deviation variance, this would extend to a grand final appearance approximately every 5-8 seasons and a premiership every 10-16 seasons. If you were elected as the next Administrator, what would you do ensure that this is achieved?

I will not look favourably towards any pisstake answers, and no I am not a crackpot.

Given the Sim is random, expecting something even somewhere close to the average is a pipe dream and should be actively discouraged.

The chance of a coin toss being a head is about 50% so if there has been 376 tails in a row, unfortunately there is still only a 50% chance of the next toss being a head. That is how probability works. Missing finals for 20 seasons in a row gives you no greater chance of playing finals the following season.

There is absolutely zero that an incoming Admin can do to change it. Sorry to disappoint you.

As Jabba73 said, it's a random Sim, reminds me a bit of when apples shuffle play had to be altered as people were complaining it was completely random and would just repeat songs sometimes.

Don't know how you arrive at that conclusion, people have had six weeks to consider their preferences. It's a bit comical that some clubs are dragging it out to the last moment.

You're right, I was looking at date of the start of the thread. It feels like it's been discussed forever, which it kind of has. Regardless, it shouldn't take weeks of discussion for a LG to decide. Btw, pretty sure we knew who was running before two weeks ago even if it wasn't official.

You don’t need to fix the old stick in the mud, sometimes you know you are doing things right when people like Senor M get all riled up and start to complain.

He is a pretty good barometer once you know how to read his melt levels.
