Sounds like an amazing trip.

My daily routine includes watching a few youtubers who are based in Thailand, mainly Pattaya. Love watching their experience,even if it's just walking around the streets or markets and grabbing a feed. I love the food, been fortunate our little town has a Thai restaurant, lady is from Chiang Mai, and I think it's her parents who cook. Food is always amazing!! FUnny as the last time I was there I was more inclined to eat Maccas unless we were somewhere I couldn't.

Here's hoping that you can get to Thailand again soon and adventure a couple of blocks off the tourist strip to find a local feast for the price of a Big Mac.
An option is to find a small bar announce to the girls that it's time to eat, you are paying and get them to order in. $30 - 35 max or $5 per head, for a feast that everyone enjoys as a "family". It will make their week!

Just spoken with the GF who is a cashier at a bar. Like Aus, rent and electricity have been hiked. Her bar gets heavied by police on occassion.

Bars are struggling a bit on the tourist customer numbers. Some have had to save on WiFi and TV subscriptions. Sadly, there's been a few closures.

Hotels However are cheap. The Oz dollar is about 25 baht= ok bang for yer buck!

Potential tourists it's up to us! Make Thailand smile again!
