it's how you know that albo thought the voice to parliament would've been an easy layup that he would be able to campaign for on his reelection attempt being like "see! i enshrined the voice, im a great prime minister!". i think it was polling at 70% or something prior to the actual campaign in which they ran the worst possible campaign that they could've and have made it so it's essentially a losing issue. he's pretty much already trying to distance himself from the whole ordeal lmao

i reckon he was hoping that it would distract from all other issues that neither labor & libs can fix such as housing & cost of living, which libs will campaign on fixing by cutting welfare benefits or some bullshit
(i say neither can fix, but it's neither WANT to fix as you can tell by their property portolios & who helps finance them and give them jobs after their time in office)
