Homemade fried chicken using a KFC spice recipe.. genuinely tastes like KFC but better. Kinda looks gross close up lol

• 1/4 tsp celery salt
• 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
• 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (I did 1/2 tsp)
• 1/2 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1/4 tsp mustard powder
• 1/4 tsp ginger powder
• 1/2 tsp dried thyme
• 1/2 tsp dried oregano
• 1/2 tsp cooking salt / kosher salt
• 1 1/2 tsp black pepper

Yep. 3/4 cup buttermilk, 1 egg and 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt. Marinaded for 24 hrs. Then 3/4 cup plain flour and 1/4 cup cornstarch/flour with the spices and deepfried in vegetable/canola oil mix for 1.5 mins on each side. Buon appetit. lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese and mayo w/garlic in it

Yeah, I had to in the end. $1500 building and $1k contents now. Then lowered sums insured on contents by $30k aswell. Brought it down from 36% increase to about 15%.
