Aussie Coke uses cane sugar. Then of course Bundaberg soft drinks. USA use corn syrup. There's campaigners in the USA drive across the border to Mexico to buy slabs of Coke cos Mexico use cane sugar

I read an article on how Coke switched to corn syrup in the US. Basically they changed the recipe. Everyone complained cos it tasted arse so they switched back to the original recipe but with corn syrup. At the time US government were subsidizing corn farmers massively so corn syrup was dirty cheap compared to cane sugar.
