They say a lot of what's sold as barra is basa from Vietnam.

When we bought the take away shop in California gully , the most popular fish on the menu was Butterfish , WGT the **** was that….,,Hake withe skin peeled, they used to substitute hake for. Shit load of the fish.

Anyway we introduced King George whiting an Brr to the menu , Barr sold well but the whiting not so much because you would get the odd bone

I like whiting but only grilled not battered. Cos as you say the occasional bone is easier to see and deal with grilled.
