Don't hold back Patrick, let it all out!

I'm very interested in your opinions on Dale Lewis and Greg Stafford

Stafford: big man, small heart.
Lewis: super talent, weird attitude, would be an absolute champion in the current Swans team, would offer all kinds of flair and skill to complement the work of Kirk, J Bolton and our other hard goers.

and McHack

Ha. I think, Mr Bedford, I agreed with a post of yours early in the week about this bloke. He went missing again in the hard stuff against the Cats.

There's no doubt this has been a breakout year for McHack, and for a while there he looked like he'd really taken the next step, it coincided with our good run against crap teams mid-season.
But I just don't know about McVeigh. He's still got so much potential but I wonder if he'll ever get the game right in his head.
Maybe he's played well enough this year for us to get a good deal for him in trade week.
I'm happy if he is still with us next season, but if we do trade him, as long as it's a good deal I don't think we're losing Chris Judd.

I can't argue with any of that! Great post :thumbsu:

Think you're a bit harsh on Macca - he's always going to be an 'outside' player and every team needs a couple of those, even though you're right, they do tend to go missing at times. Some of his goals this year have been pretty classy, think he's more in the Travis Johnstone mould.

Yes Soft

It gets a bit old really to hear some of the McVeigh haters trying to find reasons to criticize him in order to save face. You labeled him a dud and he proved you all wrong.... time to move on.

He hasn't proved us wrong as yet,he has improved but still goes missing against the more physical teams.
One thing he has improved on is to get into goal scoring positions hense his 29 goals a lot of them on the end of handballs in the goal square, which is good footy.
I will admit he is out of the Dud stage(sorry dudley) but will always be McHACK.
Would be good trade bait for a player like Kerr, yes he has been a dog,so was BBB but we need some pace and class in the midfield.

Thanks for the feedback mr bateman. Just a one word answer will do for this one. Davis fan?

Just replace 'Lewis' with 'Davis' above?

A history lesson for young Sophie,

Luffy was a cult hero for many reasons:
- Delisted and redrafted twice and when on to play 155 games.
- Copped a fair share of Rocket's rockets, perhaps unfairly at times.
- Loved to take a speccie, was a great mark.
- Was versatile to play down back or up forward.
- Tended to do some freaky things and yet stuff up the simple ones.

Luffy was an absolute legend. Got the absolute maximum out of himself and was an inspiration to the average joe blows. I smile to myself and still remember in 1996, when he took those towering grabs across CHF in Roosy's 300th against North Melbourne at Princes Park and backed up again in the first quarter of the 1996 G/Final vs North Melbourne to take three or four grabs before Wayne Schwass decided to hit him flush on the jaw.

Schwatter would have got about (6) weeks for the same punch now !!!

...He tipped the Freo upset! What a legend.[/quote]

Luffy also mentioned that MOL would be missing owing to a hamstring ???

I was under the impression that MOL was out due to an ankle ligament strain from the Carlton game ??

Hopefully just a freudain slip by the Luffmeister !!!

Agree, he will top 3 in our B&F, maybe even take it out. That in a year when Jolly, Kirk & J Bolton have all been outstanding. I reckon he will poll very well in the Brownlow too, in fact i think he will out poll Kirk.

Big call, but i reckon top 10

Still on the weekend he played better against a crap side, interesting stats he had not 1 first possie or clearence.Played the perfect receivers game and yes he has improved but there is no way known he will poll more than Kirky.
Been on Hols Duds ?

Perhaps he strained the hamstring when about to return. There was talk about him returning, and then suddenly he was gone for longer.

He is not an in and under player, he is an elite athelete. So, if we are being belted, he will still break his player, but will not recieve the ball (because we dont win it).

As you well know, a midfield team is made up of both sorts of player, both rely on each other to win games.

Question Bedders?

Where do you think he sits in Swans B&F this year ?

And sort of on holiday, yes.
