Such a disappointment considering we were looking like top 6 only weeks ago
Way too many changes every week over the last month, and we lack decent kpp depth. We did well to reach the top 6 considering.

Yeah 3 big contested marks in 2 weeks. Obviously not a great amount but hes showing some flashes at least. He came in with a very bad fitness base and core strength and I think that he wasn’t up to it early on which ruined his confidence. But the fact that he is showing these improvements is a bit of a pulse. Still has the skill and athleticism.
Persist? Sold!

Magoos team looked a lot better when all of Phillips, TT and Wardlaw were running around. I'd add RHJ and Hall into that list too. The normal squad isn't top 8 material

Sitting 10th with 1 final round to go

We play 11th so simple equation win and we play in wildcard round

Lose to tigers and our season ends next week
Amazing that this VFL was doing so well get injuries in the AFL then players unavailable due to been put on standby for AFL game’s unavailable players and retirements.
As for next year need to recruit KP Forward to help Sellers a couple of Kp Backs as Dawson will be gone and recruit link players and a key Ruckman to help Keogh.
As the following players won’t be at North next year in Dawson,Edwards,Bonar,Mahoney,Spicer,Free and Turner so that will leave a big hole unless a couple become full time VFL players.
But expect Colman Jones/Xerri,Powell,Lazzaro,McDonald,
Archer and Lazzaro to be the backbone of that VFL side.
This all depends on who is coach as well as I think Lynch will move up to the AFL side of things but to think outside the square give Emma Kearney a crack at it as I think she has a football Brain has done 12 months in the AFL system plus it’s a different voice and it would be history making might give this club something of a lift up

Disappointing that we've had 2 players retire in cunners and hall who both have been strong contributors in the vfl this year and would be very handy at least for this game

At least the gameday emergency will play the game this week since it’s the day after

And possibly the sub if they don’t get more than a quarter game time like greenwood did a few weeks ago

North Melbourne's VFL side faces a do-or-die scenario heading into the final round of the home and away season.

The Kangaroos will meet Richmond at the Swinburne Centre on Saturday afternoon with both clubs fighting for a position in the inaugural Wildcard weekend.

The Tigers return to Punt Road following a 21-point comeback win over Port Melbourne which kept their finals light flickering.

Tom Lynch's group sits 10th with a 10-7 record and will head into the weekend on a three-game skid.

A win would see North Melbourne book a Wildcard berth, while a draw would also extend its season further into August.

However, with Saturday's opponents (9-7-1) sitting below the Kangaroos in 11th, a loss for the royal blue and white would push them out of the top 10.

Wildcard Round
Wildcard Round will feature two matches. The team that finishes the home-and-away season in seventh position on the ladder will play the team that finishes 10th, while eighth will take on ninth.

The highest-ranked winner in Wildcard Round will advance to the second elimination final as the seventh-placed team, with the lowest-ranked winner in Wildcard Round to progress to the first elimination final as the eighth-placed team.

The top-six teams on the ladder at the conclusion of the season will have a bye during Wildcard Round and will advance directly through to either a qualifying final or elimination final.

We have an old gruel barrel that we used to feed Mick Martyn in the back shed.
Phew, and I thought we got an upgrade…
Clarification: on the barrel, not on Mick Martyn
