Negan will be his own downfall, not killing the ones he should because he thinks he holds so much power and is not touchable, though when Rosita had a shot at him he looked shocked like it would never happen.

Also I though Darryl's escape was weak, he sneaks around a bit, no one spots him, kills a nobody and sees Jesus who happens to just be there, and then that's it.

Ok I've thought about it and the bloke in the boots has to be that fella who was trying to convince Carol to fight. The preview for the next episode shows Rick giving a speech in The Kingdom. No one in Alexandria even knows that place exists so I'm guessing it is that fella and he will lead Rick and co to The Kingdom to meet Ezekial

And meanwhile, he's going to return to the sanctuary to find Joey dead and Daryl gone.

I expect his retribution to be swift and gruesome while the Main Characters are all smiling it up at Hilltop....though I doubt Rick cares about anyone he left there.

His acting and whole character arc was forgettable. much like this season so far.

Most of the season has been completely pointless. It's just been a bunch of scenes as fillers until Rick stops behaving out of character and says that they should fight Negan.
