Yes she wasn't fully informed. Having both present in evidence is from a profile point of view highly incriminating.

I'd say now it was almost certainly Percy as responsible.

Same year the Beaumont children vanished as well.

I today listened to a podcast relating to Wanda.....crimefile. well done podcast..There were in total 6 sketches made of suspicious people police were attempting to link to the Wanda murders. One in particular apparently was a very close match to Percy. Another thread I found interesting was that a woman that day had come across a naked man was seen wandering in the dunes several hundred metres from the ultimate murder location and she was calling out to him challenging him for what he was doing. Ignored. The point is that if Percy deficated in his clothing that it's quite possible he would have discarded the clothing and went naked until he was able to dress himself again. Percy was on holidays in Sydney at the time and lived a few klm away from the girls, had a botany regatta to attend. He was of driving age and when caught for Tuohy murder a few years later owned an orange Datsun. Apparently access to the dunes at Wanda can be made from parking and hiking. Would he have brought his car with him to Sydney? Likely. Air travel in the sixties was considered extravagant so yes I think a car is possible likely even.

Percy was one sick dude. Notable is he had total disregard for capture. Almost sociopathic disregard. Leaving his own soiled clothing nearby wouldn't be something that would concern him.

Background on transport:

I'm born 57 so grew up and visited Sydney beaches in early 70s. I guess all beaches are accessible by public transport depending upon how long you want to spend on trains and buses. The most popular though would be the following in order

Manly train to CQ then ferry
Bondi train to city then bus
Bronte. Train to city then bus
Cronulla train to city, then change to Cronulla

The trip to Cronulla was too long so I did it less frequently but did a few times. I was western suburbs. Ryde is inner west so same issues for the girls. The dunes were a couple klms north of Cronulla walking.

If you were staying in a holiday park near botany ( the location of Percy's regatta) then that is south of Sydney central and makes the most logical beaches the southern beaches which may include cronulla/ Wanda. I'd suggest that logistically Cronulla would be on the radar for Percy if he were staying there and had his car.
