2005 Semi Final. It was absolutely gut wrenching to lose like we did after being in front all game, carrying so many injuries, and having almost everyone give 100% to the point of exhaustion in a final that we were given little chance of winning going into it.

Hearing that Roughead's battle with cancer wasn't over was my worst day as a Hawthorn supporter. Hearing that he's back was better than a premiership.

119
Gold Coast 2011
165 vs Hawthorn
Bulldogs 2012 (Chad Wingard recieving tragic news about his best mate before the game, Danyle Pearce copping personal abuse, Jay Schulz suffering injuries that could have killed him). Just a very rough game for the club.

Nothing could have ever prepared me for John McCarthy's death :( really hit home and kicked in the guts and heart as a Port supporter.

Phil Walsh's murder also had an impact. Just could not have been anymore dark and tragic.

My worst day was 12th April 2002 and is a great example of the old saying "it's always darkest right before the dawn".

Coming into 2002 Collingwood hadn't been in the finals for 8 years, hadn't won a final in 12 years and we'd had the 2 lowest finishes in the club's history in 1999 and 2000. In 2001 we looked better and only just missed the finals so I was expecting it all to happen in 2002. However in the first 2 weeks of the season we got convincingly beaten by Richmond and then barely scrapped home against West Coast.

In Round 3 on the 12th April 2002 we played Carlton, a team who you already knew were going to be absolutely terrible that season (this was the only game Carlton won until Round 14), and lost badly. I was completely devastated. Not only did we lose to our most hated rival but I felt that we had gone backwards from the previous year and that we were doomed to yet another year of hopelessness with no end in sight. I just couldn't see that team coming good. About 5 months later we were in the Grand Final.

Typical of the saints to draw in a GF and have the worst luck of a ball bounce in history. The fear of not seeing just one GF win is real.

Also Riewoldt losing his sister is just horrible.

Round 2 2016 against Essendon was a nightmare, but the worst for me are two games.

Round 1 2012 vs Brisbane - Stynes passed away, very emotional crowd then a horrible performance by the players and Neeld roasts them in the postmatch pressure.

Round 1 2013 vs Port - Playing someone nearly as bad as us the previous year, pathetic performance sees us lose by over 10 goals. Players booed off the ground, I left halfway through the 3rd

We're still mediocre as it stands but 2012/2013 felt like the club was never going to recover.

Round 1 2012 was pretty bad, but there were a few even worse for mine...

Round 2 2013 - with Neeld on TV etc
186.
The North game at Etihad 2013
The Richmond-Melbourne tanking game, 2009.

I was going to go to that round 2 game but ended up working, I came home at 1/2 time, laughed and refused to watch it.

I sat through every ****ing minute.

The 97 GF. After Barry Hall slotted 3 in the 2nd Qtr I started to dream. Still can't watch the last Qtr.

Was at the 09 GF. Shit.

2010......

2006 preliminary final. Kept West Cost goalless in the first quarter, 24 points up at half time, still lead at 3 quarter time but fell away. Never forget Bock scored a goal from an impossible position back to the center with 30 seconds left, won the clearance, umpire blows his whistle for an innocuous high arm on a west coast player from Edwards go to the other end an scored lost by 11pts. so heart broken, no doubt would of beating Sydney in the grand final had the wood on them at that time.

I sat through every ******* minute.
As did I, with a Melbourne supporting friend. After a while I just felt sorry for them, genuinely.

Anyway - yeah '99 prelim. It's the only game in Essendon's history I point blank refuse to watch any part of.
