Clarkson saying that the Eagles basically had very little to do with them playing poorly/making mistakes. This game was basically just an anomaly, next week business as usual...
So in short, we would've had no chance if the Hawks had played the way they usually do.

Watching it again now and Sheppard and Wellingham were just simply outstanding. Sheppard's gone from the most fumbly player on our list to one of the cleanest players in the league. He's so strong for his size too, which was on display when he out-bodied Roughead with ease. Wellers' attack on the ball and his ability below the knees at full speed is first class. I'm not sure how at least one of them didn't make the AA squad but it's good to finally see them get the recognition they deserve last night.

as a perth boy i watch both of the W.A teams, this years been torture as an essendon supporter but it's a small consolation seeing the W.A teams do well. The city will be in meltdown if both the teams make it to the Granny.

I've been super impressed with the team this year, like most others i thought you guys would be done after mckenzie and brown went out early but it's great to see wellingham, sheppard, schofield and the gov all step up and simmos game plan shine through.

i've probably seen the nic nat tap > priddis handball > shuey/gaff burst and clear 1000 times this season and it's been a joy to watch. despite the defensive injuries, the midfield seems to be pretty durable and they'll all taken it to another level this year, when was the last time priddis missed a game?, god they all deserve a week off! i thought priddis being out would be a huge loss last night but it seems to be alot of the fringe players are stepping up, do you guys think selwood will be gone? hutchings really seems to be grabbing his opportunity with two hands. Yeo has had a breakout year too.

the forward line looks super dangerous, kennedy is such a beast, always seems to kick a wobbler through! lecca is class and hill also seems to be grabbing his opportunity with two hands.

nic nat and sinclair seem to have found synergy. nic has been epic this year and i've been very impressed with sinclairs marking around the ground. it was hard not to be moved seeing nic get emotional after the game, as humans we just want to make our parents proud and i'm sure his parents would be super proud of him.

all the best for the finals series and enjoy next week off, any preferences on who you'd rather play in the prelim? looks like you'll account for anyone at subi (dockers inc)
