Last one is the best by a mile

Pennywise are great but most of their stuff sounds the same. They were awesome live. They aren't really a Bad Religion copy, they are completely different. They both may be melodic and political (sorta) but BR didn't define their style until when suffer was released which was 88 (I think) and Pennywise formed around that time anyway.

EDIT: RJ if you like these bands you may like Propagandhi. Have you heard any of their stuff before? It's a fair bit different from these bands but they are very angry and political but it takes a while to get into them (especailly their last 2 albums which are great but have no lyrical choruses, and the lyric structure is weird).

Potemkin City Limits is a great album...driven aggression :thumbsu:

Meh, I love The Clash, but I could never get into any other punk stuff all that much :/

I don't like the Clash very much at all to be honest. Too wiggerish for my liking :D

Man I just realised NOFX are as old as I am, almsot to the day.

Fat Mike is old.

Not even their London Calling album??? Geez

If you dont like at least that much by them... then you simply cant be human :/ Are you a cyborg?

Never really given it much of a listen to be honest, I probably know a lot of tracks off it though, yeah, my musical experiences are strange like that - once I get in to something I have to find out EVERYTHING about it, buy all teh cd's, find rarities etc. but there are some huge acts that I just don't listen to and never have - Bob Dylan is another one

Game.Set.Match.

That energy is truly amazing. If I could see one band live in their prime that I was too young to have ever seen then the Dead Kennedys would be my choice.

I was a fan of the Clash and the Cure in the 1970's and 80's and the early stuff by the Police. (hated it when they went all "mellow" though)

The only punk-ish stuff I've liked in the past 10 years has been Offspring and Green Day -if you can even call them punk. It seems that most bands that try punk end up "Emo".

I'm not a punk fan really, but I love Dead Kennedys and pretty much any other Jello projects (ie collaborations with Ministry, DOA etc)
