Tickets fiasco

Looks like there are no tickets left again using that sheetful Ticketmaster site. Why arent North members being prioritised? Why do we buy a ticket when we cant even go same thing happened a the replacement game against Essendon!

If we have a home game selling out, this is a good thing, no? It's been a luxury as a North member to not have to worry about reserving a seat. Some other club members don't get to be as casual or presumptuous about their attendance and the only way to guarantee getting to see games is to buy a season reserved seat. You can't just say that as the home team, our general admission members should get a priority option to turn up or not.

I don’t think they put out notices for the Essendon game that it’s standing room only available until they run out.

Pretty sure tickets have been available for a while, and it’s good for the club for them all to be gone for once. Glad it’s not all the time though, it’s too stressful. We buy tickets for Collingwood games and have to get in on the opening bell to reserve a seat every time. Smaller crowds for our games make the experience much easier and lend much more flexibility.

Yeh I've not seen anything saying it's a fully ticketed event. Probably just that you cannot buy new GA/reserved seats, but I assume members can just rock on up and sit in the GA areas.

Is it just the entrance I enter, or is it taking a long time to get everyone into the ground this year? There were never long queues at Gate 6 / corporate entry in the past, but it's taken 10+ mins to get in a few times this season.

I know I should just get to the game earlier!

If good friday is any guide, (I'm an interstate member with no game played in my state this season), could get a ticket but only way I could buy an extra ticket for my wife was to upgrade to a reserved seat and buy one of those as well for my wife. ie/ pay well over 100 bux in addition to the cost of membership to watch 1 game for the season. I just waited for the GA tickets to go on sale, and bought 2 of those, and just viewed the membership as a donation to the club......but in future, won't be wasting money on an interstate membership, and just buy raffle tickets to support the club (membership dept has this feedback but doubt anything is done about it).....the slim chance of winning a prize represents more value than an interstate membership!...rant done.

Normally you can just enter the designated bays for Social Club members unless it's a fully ticketed game like Good Friday was

Its no sold out but its now being advertised as standing room only. however l'm sure that once in you could find a seat in general admittance section..

Correct staff don't check tickets of people entering level 3 if you just say your general admin and head to the back.

They are just there to make sure you don't enter the few rows at the front of level 3 that are reserved

That's freakin' weird. On Good Friday I went into the app to reserve a seat, and I anticipated that I'd have to do the same for my father in law using his phone app. I called the club to find out if I could get two seats together using two different logins a few minutes apart and the guy said I should just request two tickets in my own app and see what happens. Sure enough, two bar codes for two seats together (cheer squad). I didn't even use his login or anything and to this day I don't know how that happened.

Nope. It is shit everywhere I've tried and slow. The whole reason I loved a reserved seat was walking in 5 mins before the game and straight to my seat... now need to rock up 20 mins before to be safe.

No, just like a regular game We still have our reserved bays.

I guess there is a maximum number of GA seats they can sell, while also 'reserving' enough for GA members to scan in on the day.

Strange though I never rembwr this happening before, usually any game that's going to get anywhere near potential capacity would.be fully ticketed

It's a mess Errol Street. And I guarantee there'll be some jerbronie sitting in my chair vaping their lungs out whinging about the cost of living crisis wearing a Dan Andrews for PM singlet. It's idiotic.
Let me tell you a story: I took up smoking a pipe when Jon Sieben won gold at the LA games in '84. I had US$50 on him at 12-1 prior to the repechages.
