"To say that the relocation of the Melbourne Football Club to another planet was unprecedented would be the understatement of the century, given the obvious limitations of playing footy in a non-breathable, lower gravity environment. When the club announced the move on the first of April, 2049, nobody took it seriously. But when the 2050 season came around, the Mars Football Club played its first home game at its brand new home ground, Valles Marineris Stadium."

"It's 3022, and Australian rules football has gone global, but it's only the beginning. Decades later, Elon Musk's descendants continued his legacy spanning over a millennium by completing SpaceX's mission to make life sustainable on other planets, more specifically Mars. Once the planet became habitable and had reliable transport between Earth and Mars, the most radical idea came to fruition when the AFL wanted the sport to go galactical! By this time, the sport had reached every state and territory of Australia competing in the national comp and internationally too. The Melbourne Demons, who by this time were struggling to stay afloat after a hotel bill surfaced from 2021 when Earth was stricken with Covid-19 and the eventual premiers were staying in Perth for the Grand Final. In the years that went by, laws were passed stating unpaid bills will be subject to inflation, this put the club in absolute financial strife. With options low, they took wind of AFL's plans to take the game beyond their own atmosphere. They proposed a deal with SpaceX to own the club and make them the centrepiece for the company for this audacious venture. It was the biggest footy event when the 'Mars Demons' were officially unveiled, they would be sporting SpaceX's EVA Suit with Mars orange replacing Melbourne's red, a navy to sky gradient, the classic Demons yoke with Mars terrain pattern with an extra chevron and orange accents. With so many advances in transportation, the intergalactic move would prove to be hassle-free as opposed to the ways of the 3rd millennium where travelling interstate during finals was a huge obstacle. This epic adventure would cause the AFL to rebrand as the AFGL adding 'Galactical' to their name and a logo change featuring the milky way and the solar system outlined in the back. The slogan was a tongue-in-cheek dig at association footballs slogan "The World Game" by crossing out "World" and putting in "Galaxy" in an attempt to claim the title as the most widespread and biggest sport. Season 3062 saw the rest of the competition needing SpaceX suits with their club colours made up for when they had an away game in Mars. Sleeveless versions were made on Earth given Mars has a far colder climate"
