Knew about this a while back, have a connection to his agent

Will be great but will have to pay more than we will get for Gaff, Lycett and Gaff likely the same compo doesn't make sense. Size and length of contract a massive difference and also Gaff is AA and won a F& B, I thought all that is supposed to make a difference

Depends on Geelong's outlook. They could be arseholes about it and be known as "the cut-throat club that doesn't think about player welfare", and in a way I would respect them for that, but then they have to sideline Kelly for a year and keep paying him. Theoretically they could trade him to Freo, but then Freo assumes the risk of having a player on their payroll that may not necessarily want to associate with them.

Based on previous experience I think both clubs will look to get it done. If we gave Geelong Pick 20 + one of our compo picks for Gaff/ Lycett it would probably see the deal done, and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if that's what eventuates.

The AFL takes all of these factors, and many more, into detailed consideration in a series of intense meetings over a period of weeks, and then they throw a dart at a dartboard or something to decide it.

How’s this guy’s body hold up?

Has he had injury history?

Shitting myself that we’ll pay heaps for him and he’ll struggle to get on the park

Played every game for Geelong this year. In his last four years at Souths he played 23, 20, 18 and 20 games.

This would 100% get the deal done. Just very badly, we'd be giving up way too much.

Pick 20 plus a Nelson or Partingon
or Pick 20 and maybe 36

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we give up two compo picks and maybe ask for a late pick from Geelong in exchange.

We’ll pay a lot for him - the club’s not going to play hardball

Ixnay on the ealthyha. Injury concerns could be the equivalent of a 'Darling Tent'. I like where FKASC was going.

I'm also concerned about his ability to get on the park...wink wink... Anyone else concerned?

Has anyone read the cats statement about it, claiming that “he is highly likely to stay at the club in 2019”.

Legit sounds like Chris Scott wrote it after being informed of the news. Pouting and sobbing

Meh. Posturing. Every club's doing it.

Gold Coast said they wouldn't necessarily let Lynch go without matching. Five minutes ago Steve Rosich just said they wouldn't take pick 4 for Neale.
